Re: The World Map

In reply to DM (msg # 1):

So, here's Morachiga's tactical overlay, using this map to help:

Starting Army Disposition

- Hae'driel starts with 6 pawns (#5, eastern part of the blue continent)
- Lo'driel starts with 1 pawn (#2, southern part of the blue continent)
- Tris starts with 10 pawns (#1, western part of the blue continent)
- Imbraer starts with 6 pawns (#7, northern part of the green continent)
- Grelklic starts with 4 pawns (#10, barely visible, southern part of the pink continent)

Initial Troop Deployment

- Hae'driel moves 6 pawns from #5 toward #2
- Tris moves 10 pawns from #1 toward #2
- Imbrear moves 2 pawns from #7 toward #2
- Grelklic moves 4 pawns from #10 toward #4 (Telsid-Fas, northwestern blue continent)

Further Predictions, In Order

- Hae'driel and Tris combine outside #2, for a total of 16 pawns
- Imbraer's token force and Lo'driel combine, for a total of 3 pawns

Once the Siege of Lo'driel Begins

- Grelklic moves 4 pawns from #4 toward #1 (Tris)
- Imbraer moves 4 pawns from #7 to #5 (Hae'driel)

Aftermath

- Grelklic captures Tris, 4-0
- Imbraer captures Hae'driel, 4-0
- Empire captures Lo'driel, 16-3

**** Zuriel's Amendment ****

- Reduce Hae'driel's starting pawns from 6 to 4, decreasing all ratios accordingly
- Leave 2 pawns at Hae'driel and see what happens

Re: The World Map

Excellent clarification, really glad you helped to type that up.

In-thread, Zuriel agrees with Boreas that it seems unlikely that the Empire would leave 0 pawns at Telsid-Fas and Tris, and the that highborn would leave no defense in Hae'driel.

Are we assuming that each city has a defense force not included in the pawn count?

Also, the logic Choso is going on is that the token Imbraer force exists only to provoke the Empire into thinking that Choso is in league with the Dominion?

Just want to make sure I'm understanding what has been said so far :-)

Re: The World Map

So correct me if I am wrong, but. . . .as I understand the (pretty damn complicated) situation, Maeve still has no impetus for wanting to get involved with this conflict at all.  Boreas neither, for that matter. Hell, Keef as well.
