Re: OOC Discussion #3

In reply to Keef (msg # 11):

To all the ghost-related snarkery:

The Ghosts, like the CIA, would prefer to find their own missions. If a rank-and-file citizen wants the CIA to look into something, it requires a lengthy and absurdly stupid bureaucratic process. An esteemed general would have a much easier time, to be sure, but it still isn't the same as ordering a pizza or even a police officer to your doorstep.

There are only four such rings. Who is wearing them, and what slots were replaced to make room for them?

Lyriel only had one ring before, so this is taking her second slot.

Since Keef has the Everstaff itself, he probably won't go undetected by whatever looks for this stuff.  Boreas and Maeve should probably wear the other two rings.

I guess I'll swap out the acid resistance ring for this one.  So bring on the acid monsters.

Re: OOC Discussion #3

So we're not actually in the temple yet, right? Boreas was just describing what we saw and we still have to open the gate?

I'm of the opinion that we ask the Everstaff and/or Amanohotep to do it.

I was mostly confirming that you're keeping the rings for yourselves and not the NPCs + Keef.

Good to go :)

Re: OOC Discussion #3

I figure Keef, being the 'master' of the Everstaff as well as the prophet, he should be fine. Plus he has a ring of negative energy protection already.

Nobody asked Jones and Sergeant Redshirt to risk their lives ;-p

Making sure the healers can do their job is just good sense

It could be worse. They don't have SR, recall, and being immune to "fireball" isn't the same as being immune to fire.

Last encounter was "Immune to Lyriel," so I guess we're all going to get a 'screw you' encounter?

I suspect 'Immune to Zuriel' would simply be 'deaf'.

Zuriel, aren't you supposed to be at some important conference today?  The keynote speaker must be super interesting. . . . .

And don't forget he'd have to have no sense of smell.

Sand monsters were immune to fire, lightening and poison... that pretty much takes care of Keef too except for maximized bear grease.

Ok, I'm a bit confused.  Are we only allowed to move around in the pink spots, or are the blue spots also up for grabs?

Re: OOC Discussion #3

In reply to Zuriel Silendril (msg # 34):

You can move anywhere you want. The lighter-colored spots are the "Active Room". The blue spots are the hallway. The lighter-colored spots have a border around them. If the colors are making things confusing I can yank them out, but I thought highlighting the room everyone was in by shading it differently than the rest of the dungeon would be helpful.
