In reply to DM (msg # 419):
The Goddess of Oblivion turns as Shep falls, and a streak of bluish light flits over from the werewolf lord's corpse toward the rift in the heavens.
She raises her enormous hammer, poised to strike, then pauses.

THE GODS HAVE CHOSEN WORTHY CHAMPIONS. BUT HOW EFFECTIVE WILL YOU BE WITHOUT THE AID OF YOUR CAREFULLY LAID PLANS? <<
She lowers the weapon slightly and intones words of eradication.
[Casting: Epic Purge]
A burst of energy swirls forth from her body like a nova of annihilation, stretching 50 feet laterally in all directions (thus missing Maeve, Boreas, and Finwe). The magical effects surrounding you weaken and flicker as Vora attempts to nullify them.
quote:
OOC: Whenever this burst strikes a person, the highest level spell affecting them is assaulted and, in this case, dispelled. Whenever a summoned creature is struck, it is attempted to be counterspelled. Whenever an ongoing effect is struck, it is attempted to be counterspelled and/or suppressed.
Auriel: 42
Lyriel: 44
Guardian: 46
Shahara: 42
Keef: 40
Prismatic Wall: 36
Kelp: 45
Wall of Force: 31
Darris: 38
A'tril: 48
The results are immediate and dire.
Auriel, Lyriel, and Keef shudder as their most powerful spell (Holy Aura) is ripped away. Fortunately, their most powerful buff (the shield granted by the gods) remains untouched.
Darris and A'tril suffer a similar fate, though you are not sure which spell this effect stripped them of.
Shahara and the summoned Guardian make noises of determination and surprise, respectively, as each is banished from the battlefield.
The Prismatic Wall and field of kelp wink out of existence, though the Wall of Force somehow remains standing strong in the wake of the purging torrent.
