Message #200
"Messieurs, you have come at a most propitious time! Tomorrow is the start of le Faire des Progres, scheduled to coincide with Queen Fleur-de-Lys's 27th birthday!" Duvauchelle replies to Dash. "It commences with the Grand Parade!"
"Then there is the Masquerade Ball on Thursday night and the Grand Cotillion on Friday night."
"Also in honor of the Queen's birthday, Gabriella le Fontaigne and Jean-Renee Montrouge will be performing Puccini's Le Boheme on Saturday night."
"The exposition wraps up Sunday night with the Grand Ball."
"And there will be dances and parties all week long all over St. Thomas and the rest of the island."
There is no gala this evening. Presumably it was thought that everyone would be busy setting up their booths.

Dammit! Not only did I, somehow, get that list of events reversed in my head, but I also apparently interpreted that last line about dances and parties all week to mean that things were starting off "tonight".
I really gotta stop drinking that turpentine...
Okay, then, fine - everybody saddle-up and let's all hit the Vril "tonight"! This world hasn't seen anything like the Hindenburg fire.
Yet ^_^
