Re: Even moooore OOC

Thanks everyone for getting stuff up last week. Since my kiddo broke his arm, we've had a flash-flood followed by a bout of  24hr flu, complete with me running a steady path between sick kids and the bathroom. Probably too much info...

At any rate, depending on the outcome of this final encounter of Chapter 2, we'll be transitioning into Chapter 3 in the wide-wide world! Finally, no more caverns! If any of you survive, you'll likely have achieved 3rd level. Be thinking about that advancement a little.

I've acquired a game world that I plan to gut and refill as we go. Sepulos has some really juicy tidbits in his threads, as do the rest of you.

Thanks for being patient during my crazy schedule. Looking forward to more good stuff!

Durgon, I see you lurking out there... PM me!

Third? Three...tree-fiddy!  Quick, somebody give it three Gold and fifty Copper!
And not just ONE Gold, it'll get expectations.

We'll give Z-D and Maksim another day or two, I know they're both as busy as I am right now. I'm really glad you are all good sports about the pace of the game right now. Hang in there!

If those of you who suddenly find time to scratch the itch and need a way to do so, let me know and we can work on some side-story stuff. You have all proven to be very creative and so we can develop some things to work toward...

Hmm.  Advancements.  Boost Constitution ooone more point so I don't take a penalty, and starting at 4th level, GAMBLE my boosts!

Is it "Guaranteed boosts to one, roll for two until level 9, ayer wick you have to roll all boosts."?

Re: Even moooore OOC

Happy 1000th Post Everyone!!!

Thank you for sticking with me through thick and thin, and for being very patient lately as my schedule's been so hectic. I hope to see the second thousandth post by the end of this year! (Yes, I know, lofty goal...)

Congrats to Agelia for putting us over the top! For your prize, consider that -1 in CON a dim memory as the thousandth rep has boosted your endurance. (Add that point to CON immediately, and then you'll advance as normal when you level up!)

w00t! wut! wewt!

Alrighty then, let's get this chapter finished out and into the archive!

Seriously, great game so far gang. Thank you all!

Yes, in fact, THANK YOU ALL! Each of you take a "Re-roll Token". You may use it once for any roll including save vs death, and once used it vanishes, sort of like an action point or a fate point. Door prizes in this game don't suck!

Thanks again!

I'd like to thank... The Moon, for having a very short Void period today, and said period coming after a handshake period, during which time I posted.
Do previous penalties to Hit Point rolls still remain?

Re: Even moooore OOC

@Agelia - Yes, they still remain, but at least you won't have any at this coming level! I'm generous, but not *that* generous  ;-)

@Everbodz - I'm going to move the story along soon. Once you leave the caverns the plot will be fairly "sandboxy"... if want to direct your own fates, so be it. The world is going to be a rough place and I have lots of ideas, but I'm open to others. Now would be a good time to shoot them at me. I'll try to have  Chapter 3 ready for Monday ... maybe.

Please give me input and feedback so I can improve!

Ogre mages.  That is all.
EDIT: Uhh, wait..gnolls!
A failed chance for Agelia to practice her bedside manner!  She is, after all, a subversion of the Coddling Cleric archetype.
Ooh.  Therianthropes.
Undead?

Yesss...

Re: Even moooore OOC

To my chagrin, I--the one who spoke about possibly more frequent posts this summer--have been incommunicado all week,  for which I sincerely apologize. I'd like to say it's because I've been in an agony of grief over Bodric's loss, but the reality is far more pedestrian: work, sick kid, and now traveling out of state for a wedding (Alabama is NOT a pleasant place climate-wise on the first day of summer!)

Anyway, I'll try to post ASAP. I really do hope to be more frequent with posts once things settle down this summer, and in the meantime,  Usher can feel free to end the chapter with Sepulos in his characteristic state of brooding, self - pity and melancholy.  Also a sense of sharp grief and bitter self-reproach at not receiving a tattoo.

I'm really enjoying the game thus far and very excited about the wide world beyond. I'm brushing up on my understanding of the rules so I hopefully don't have to ask Usher what I should roll every time I want to do something. I'm also trying to figure out what exactly is mine from the loot we scored back in the centipede ' s cave. I'll run my list by you guys when I do and you can object if you feel moved to do so.

Usher, could you give us a summary about our current levels? I haven't touched my sheet for a while,  so please let me know if I have to make changes.

Thanks everyone for the great game thus far!

Usher, could you give us a summary about our current levels?

Do you mean a re-cap in the "What we know or what we think we know" thread? Or are you asking about specific items regarding XP/Leveling/etc.?

I would like to update the latter. I barely have time to keep the main thread going right now, but I realize it's important. When I get a moment, I'll populate the Game Wiki, but that likely won't happen until Fall. So I'm offering a bounty...

I've gotten over halfway through Chap 2, so if any of you would like to read back through the thread and post some important snippets you'll be glad you did! Just post a new entry, and I'll parse them in.

Re: Even moooore OOC

@Agelia - as normal... What I meant was that the ability boost was not retroactive, so at this level (3) and going forward, you will no longer have the -1 Con penalty... means you'll gain (or rather, not lose) an extra hit point!  You may also make any rolls for Abilities based on your current Stats which include your recent boost. See, I'm not totally mean... ;-)

Re: Even moooore OOC

On Bodric:
Just thought I'd mention to you all that Bodric was gone, on his way to Dwarven Valhalla... If not for the efforts of Z-D and the inspiration of the scene, you would be voyaging with -1 in the Dwarf category. The rescue effort gave me a chance to introduce some ROI for those who placed their hands in the stone. It will not always be an advantage though. Im glad Sepulos didn't from a certain point of view... makes for some good tension.

So Bodric's back until you all get him killed again! ;-)
