For a moment Shadowclaw's lip twitches a bit as if wanting to snarl, but then he seems to get under control and even smiles at the biker boys.  "Better a living 'dog' than a wyrm ridden rotting corpse." Lets Ryan handle the humans, keeping his gaze locked on the vampires.

Re: The War Begins

Belatedly, he remembers the truce.

Friggin truce. I still want to tear them apart. Looks like we've gotta restrain ourselves for now. But we don't have to let them have lunch either."

"And here I was just thinking that as a gesture of your 'goodwill', you'd perhaps let them go that they may enjoy their life..."

Ryan steps forward, and fairly whispers at the leeches...

"And NOT let them in on things they shouldn't know, hmmm?"

Re: The War Begins

Standing up from where he is sitting on the tailgate of the van. The sudden removal of weight causes the van's suspension to screech with relief. Lockjaw stands changing to glabro form as he does. He slowly and threateningly stretches his hulking muscles that are straining to explode from the gym cloths he wares. Slowly like a salking tiger he begins to move toward Ryan, Sean and Shadowclaw who are facing down the leeches allone.

Me need to shred dem alpha?

Re: The War Begins

Grinding his teeth the biker almost twitches, he looks of the verge of saying something when he turns and says to the other bikers.

"Dinners turned sour boys lets book..."

With that they get on their bikes and with the roar of engines leave. As the leader peels on out of there rubber from his back tire smoking upon the asphalt you hear him say;

"Welcome to Chicargo little wolves I hope you enjoy your stay!"

Re: The War Begins

Ryan got them to back down...

I wish we could, but the alliance means we have to let their unclean existence endure for now. Still, they are denied their meal."

He again reiterates to the kids, "It might be prudent to go now. If you couldn't tell, they were planning to rob you, I think."

Rob them of blood, to be honest, but that's what they didn't need to know.

With the bikies gone the kids manage to get their car running (with a little help from Nancy) and get on their way. You all get a few hours sleep before the sun crests the horizon and the sound of morning birds and increased traffic wake you from your slumbers.

Sean goes to find a nice patch of earth to do his morning routine that consists of a hybrid mix of both meditation and martial arts katas during the sunrise while the others are still waking from their slumber.

Re: The War Begins

Being slighter than some of her packmates had advantages, as Nancy was able to curl up on one of the benches and sleep mostly soundly.  Being a Lupus would probably have been the only way to make the situation more bearable, but overall it wasn't the worst bit of sleep she'd ever had.

When she woke up the first thing she did was hit up the areas of the net frequented by the local Glasswalkers to glean any news and see if there was perhaps any messages placed for them on behalf of Susan, who they were supposed to be meeting.

[Private to GM: OOC: Is it correct to assume that if you call for a roll, but the scene/need for the roll is resolved before I am able to make & post said roll, that it can then be ignored?  Mainly asking to know if you have a preference, as some STs like to track things that may have seemed of little consequence at the time and use them in the story at points in the future.]

Returning to his natural form LJ decides the van is as denlike as anywhere else, and after the hours of the pack riding within it the smells are familiar and comfortingohe curls up within and sleeps waking only when somone open up the van in the morning.

Sean has just begun his Kata's with the sun about to breach the horizon when a a cute red convertible. drives into the lot with the top down and a woman sitting in a drivers seat. she parks away from your dilapidated hippie van facing you with the lights on and the engine running. She appears to be alone, waiting for your pack to approach.

"Hi." Says the lady with dark almost black hair. It is all that remains of her native American heritage.  "I'm susan, and from your desciption you must be Ryan. " she continues as she removes her glasses. "Things have been pretty tense, did you have any troubles getting here?"

[Secret to Nancy Pride: your running through the morning glasswalker reports when you see the diner incident pop up on a police bulletin.  they are look for your van in connection to a drug related gangstyle hit that left a dinner owner and two employees dead.]

Re: The War Begins

Seeing the bulletin, Nancy prompted the rest of the pack.  Can anyone spot any cameras around here?  It's important to know if we, or the van, were caught by the Zoo's cameras sitting here overnight.

She looked about herself, trying to spot anything atop the light poles or towards the actual zoo proper.  Her scans from last night didn't reveal anything, wirelessly at least, so maybe they were lucky and this far back in the lot wasn't under any type of surveillance.

We need to ditch this van ASAP, and we should not drive it to the safehouse.  Ask her if she has any way to get us a change of vehicle.  Nancy said to Ryan as she began tapping at her tablet again, trying to gain access to the video feeds near the entrance to the zoo.

"Sorry no. I can take your bags and one of you but this car isn't built for more. I can call you a cab and give you an address while I travel on ahead, will that help? If I remember rightly there is a car rental place down the street and it should be open soon. You could walk there in ten minutes. Enterprise Carshare is the company, and they rent by the hour if that suits?" says Susan.

[Private to Nancy Pride: using your plug and play sudenly the zoo CCTV becomes Wireless TV. It is a closed video feed that only records and that is directly onto video of all things (soo outdated) you are able to activate the recorder with your laptop/ phone but the options you have are play, rewind, fast-forward, record and stop. there are 16 cameras in total with only 2 facing the front carpark where you are.]

Re: The War Begins

Since they're in weaver turf, he figures it might be best to travel in weaver style. After all, hippie vans are what leeches look for. Nobody expects them to be traveling around in NICE vehicles.

So he goes to the rental place and rents the most expensive vehicle that'll hold the whole pack they have.

2. A 7 seat range rover
3. 5 seat Chrysler sedan
