Re: In the Land of Zu
Danyka had been quiet for a long moment. She addressed Jheridan first. "There could be rival factions," the Rynnish brunette agreed, "but that is not the only reason to continue to guard the ship. Pure paranoia also might reign. They don't know that there aren't other similarly foreign ships on the horizon." A rueful smile crossed her lips as she ventured, "It is not so outlandish..." As they were obviously living proof of that.
"Still," Dany noted, pulling on her ponytail for a moment, "we now have the numeric advantage, as well as surprise. We'll need to press it." Time was not on their side, now that they had acted more overtly. Dany hardly regretted freeing the crew. Far from it. But, such an action caused a necessary cascade of consequences.
Then she turned to Nicollo and the upstairs vault, "Absolutely. My thoughts exactly." Danyka shrugged slightly regarding the topic of picking the lock, causing her silky black locks to bob slightly, "Let me try first... it is most expedient. Then we'll call in the arcane mechanik, if I fail." She made it sound like the latter was a distinct possibility.
"I am not sure about finding either of the other two. In case you hadn't noticed... I'm making this up as I go..." she brainstormed, "Even if they stick out like sore thumbs, that would still take time and a safe place to observe from. Unless Tealon can, or already has, spotted them in his flyovers, we may have to come back. They could be in any of the buildings here. Even their dispositions are unknown." Hell, she thought to herself, they could have even gone 'native' at this point. Which would make extracting them all that more difficult. "We'd need to find them fast, though - it won't take the authorities here long to discover that the rest of the crew has been liberated."
"Which means that ship will need to be taken pronto..." Otherwise, they would lose the element of surprise. Dany pursed her lips and started towards the stairs back up to the office and vault above.
