Re: Back In The Saddle Again

In reply to GM StarMaster (msg # 115):

cool, although I would agree with you on understanding the rational.

For some reason I thought that him attacking gave an aoo to anyone who isnt being attacked, but meh, all good :)

Glad we have him down, and that we have the rope to tie him up with :)

The only one still alive and in position to attack is the one facing Marco. He pulls out a short curved blade and swings... and misses.

I thought the crew overpowered the ones we didn't get. If there are more then I need to edit Rrger's move if I can.

edit:
Well I was wrong..lol.. The diving suits are a cool idea btw..

Re: Back In The Saddle Again

Guys, I'm just coming around to say I'm back in the saddle again, which means I got a new computer and solved my internet issues, so my posting rating will be normalized... soon. The thing is that this particular horse is way too different than the previous one, and I'm not the rider I thought I were, so it's taking me a little bit of time to get used to it. I also play four different games here in rPol, and I need to get back on track in all of them (and I've been away for most of a month, so a lot went on). But I believe I'll be back by sunday.

Hope there's still some boarders for Nicollo to shoot by then!

Hey!  I only give people the tools.  If they hit their own fingers (or me) with the hammer.  *shrug*  Well, there isn't much I can do about that...

Re: Back In The Saddle Again

It happens.

Yet, there will be some strange consequences on this. Nicollo is a very religious person, and the dice hating me will surely mess up his faith a little bit more than it already has.

Well, more RP oportunities.

Re: Back In The Saddle Again

Sorry about that last move guys. I thought it was funny at the time and didn't mean it to be offensive. Should have re-read it before I posted.

Edit: I just rewrote the post. This game isn't marked 'mature' or 'adult' and even if it was my humor was inappropriate. I apologize again.

Sorry guys, I was just waiting to see if this guy spilled his guts as the countdown approached zero...if the DM indicates he plays tough guy, then I'll have Marco respond to the various interventions. :)

Re: Back In The Saddle Again

Seriously, why is it every game I am in, the moment the party captures the bad guys, they get hired for our cause?

Do GM's have a bet going on about this or something?

Re: Back In The Saddle Again

*shrug* What surprise?  You woke everyone up and gathered them on deck - the visual activity would be apparent, I would think.  The other ship is making straight for the Resolute, you know they are watching us.

At five minutes away, that is what?  A quarter-mile?  They can see us, we can see them.  Should we really assume that they think that we won't see them?

If you had a plan (IC) to ambush the potential attackers, perhaps you should have said something to that effect.  If you think attack is imminent, then shouldn't we either be fleeing or attacking (do we even have cannon on the Resolute that we can bring to bear)?

Re: Back In The Saddle Again

To be fair, all fair arguments

I had assumed (probably incorrectly) that due to the fact that I could only just make out the outline of the ship due to the fog, that they could not necessarily tell that the ship was either manned or aware. Still, people on deck in a fog is better than not on deck with potential violence ahead...

Apparently I am second in initiative, so I will wait on Rger for his action before posting mine.

Sorry I thought we were doing a group initiative this time. Like we write the moves and the gm puts them in order, except that I waited last time for Nicollo to fire before I had Rrger charge.

Re: Back In The Saddle Again

Well, I'm kind of going with a more freeform style on initiative. We aren't sitting around the gaming table where we can prompt a response from the next person, so I kind of go with who posts first... but take into account circumstances.

For instance, if two characters are attacking the same target, I may consider who has initiative just in case one of them delivers the killing blow (bragging rights).

The present scene is mass melee, so the fog of war is in full effect.

@Rrger
Do you have any more grenades obvious on your person?  If you do, Dany would consider covering you in order for you try and get as many of the enemy with guns as possible...

Re: Back In The Saddle Again

@Danyka
He's got the other one on him, probably in a pocket though and not showing. We were each issued two smoke grenades when we shipped out so there should be no shortage of them at this point. Can you or someone give the order though? I'm thinking that if he jumps into the middle of either the ogrun or the shooter that all the bad guys would have problems hitting him without hitting their own people. Otoh whichever group he jumps on will only be delayed while they beat the crap out of him - and the other group will proceed to cut our group to pieces. We need a leader and a command decision.

Yes, that's right. I usually let the players deal with their own character's DR/ER.
