I suppose it depends on the people of the city we rescued some of the crew from as these guards had cloaks, maybe only because it was night and cooler than they are used to.

As bad as Hurricane Irma was, it wasn't all that bad. Almost no building damage has been reported, not even broken windows, but signs and lots and lots of trees have been uprooted.

15 million people without power. It's starting to come back online now, but probably won't have it at the house for another 2-3 days. Posting from a friend's workplace, which never actually lost power because it was part of the evacuation route.

All we had were a few roof leaks, and the backyard fence got blown down.

*hug the GM*  Yay!  Welcome back.  Glad to know that you are physically (and mentally) okay!  Take care of yourself (and those around you).  Come back to us when you can (somehow I think that posting regularly from your friend's work is not really sustainable, long term).

Hope that you get power back soon. And a new fence and roof repair.  And fresh water.  And some semblance of normalcy.

Oh, and I will try to get an IC post up as soon as I can ... see what we do as part of the boarding action...

10.5 days without power!

 Lost power on the 9th just around noon as the hurricane passed by.

 No power, no AC, no lights, no stove/microwave/toaster oven, no hot water, no TV, no computer, no modem, no internet.

 Florida. Summer. Hot. Humid. Sat around in the dark and sweated. Didn't sleep well, didn't eat much.

 Couldn't go anywhere since most places were also without power.

 For a few days, gas was scarce, because most gas stations didn't have power, and so couldn't pump gas. The few that either had power or emergency generators had long lines and then ran out of gas. Tried getting by on ice, but so was everyone else, and ice quickly sold out.

 Finally got power back about 8:30 last night.

 So now we're cleaning up the mess.

 It'll probably be another day or two before I get caught up on all my games.

Can't say yet for myself. Just had family problem. Semi-relative died last Wednesday.

Things are kind of uncertain at the moment. Trying to figure out what to do next.

Commiserations. Not a good time to lose anyone anytime but near Christmas just seems to be less good.

Friend had to put her dog down yeaterday so gf who went with her isn't doing too good as she was thinking of our pets.

So... GM, I'll freely admit that Dany's player cannot remember (though I am sure that Danyka does), if she was given any 'extra' orders.  I wanted to clarify that before I responded IC to Nicollo.  Depending on the order, she might not divulge it to the rest of the party, I guess - but in all honesty, I can't remember if she actually got any such order (I don't believe so, but I figured I would confirm first).

No, she wasn't giving any additional orders that I posted, but I was kind of leaving it up to you to decide what you wanted to do next. If she was given 'secret' orders, that's up to you.

As it was, I don't think it was expressly stated what the Iron Fist was supposed to do, other than find out what happened to the Seacutter. And, presumably, report back. There were too many possibilities and variables for Command to have covered every contingency. If the ship had been sunk, then you'd probably need to return to report that. As it is, freeing the ship and crew means that they can report back... and carry a written letter/report from you if there is something else to be done.

If anything, I'd think that Command had expected the ship to have been sunk, so assessing the abilities of the enemy would be reasonable.


Well, I don't know whether it's the holiday blehs, blahs, blues or busyness, but I find myself unusually lacking in time with unexpected lack of mental energy to boot. I get a few posts in (if I'm lucky), and then my brain turns to mush. Getting around to posting as I can.
