Re: Iron Fist Q&A

I thought I would say hi, and thanks for letting me into the game.

I'm Gorren, your Rhulic Bodger who doesn't intend to hide away from a fight, and instead getting stuck into the action. His dream is to build his own customised suit of steam armour, though until then mechanical full plate mail with a portable steam engine and a buzz cutter should get the job done ;)

Re: Iron Fist Q&A

Question GM
For variable priced items, such as firearms, coal, etc - What price would you like us to use? Lowest? Highest? Middle?

Re: Iron Fist Q&A

Use the lowest. I'm feeling generous today.

Re: Iron Fist Q&A

Hi everyone!  Danyka here, just your average Llaelese Gun Mage here.  She doesn't have as big dreams as Gorren.  Dany is more into simple survival (well, and since she is Rhynnish - looking good while doing it as well).

Looking forward to RPing with all of you!  Assuming that we survive Boot Camp...

Re: Iron Fist Q&A

Hi there. You'll soon be meeting Nicollo, Ordic Gun Mage. His primary concern right now (which is a burden set before he can go after any dream) is proving he is worth something apart from what his birth could have gotten him.
Also looking forward to role-playing with you all.

Re: Iron Fist Q&A

Hello comrades!

This is Ivan Glukhov, a hunter sorcerer with great skill at outdoor survival, and at fighting. He loves travelling, which resulted in him leaving his small rural village to become a mercenary/adventurer. He's skilled when it comes to nature and animals, but has an innate distrust of machinery.

Again, looking forward to role playing with you. ;)

Re: Iron Fist Q&A

Katrin is your Caspian Rogue/Fighter and eventual Pistolier. She has connection to magic and a broad skill set at the cost of specialization.

Although she does her best not to show it, she comes from a wealthy background and her equipment indicates it. That being the case, she has yet to divulge why she left home.

Re: Iron Fist Q&A

So, do we roll balance and climb for the training?

Re: Iron Fist Q&A

You can, but you don't have to. This is meant more about role-palying than number-crunching.

Re: Iron Fist Q&A

I must completely have a different sense of what these obstacles look like. I keep on imagining stuff I've seen on modern military training videos and I'm not sure that is precisely what is presented. Or maybe I'm just picturing similar, but different, apparatus.

Oh, well...

Re: Iron Fist Q&A

Actually, you probably have it right, at least in general. That's what I go by, too, but it's also a medieval fantasy world and steampunk.

So each of us is interpreting it differently. It isn't worth the effort to start contradicting anyone, so I just go with it.

Re: Iron Fist Q&A

Fair enough. I also just reread Arshalon's post and realized he was describing the destruction of the obstacle, so I think I initially misinterpreted how he envisioned the thing.

All good.

See kids, when you can't do something normally, fake that you can.
