Re: OOC : Relaxation room

In my humble opinion, it does belong in the Stargate world. The SG teams are tight knit units of people who know and like each other and spend countless hours training together. In my experience, that's not how the majority of people interact with each other. I think it was nice to see how the Stargate technology affected "normal" people. It's a side of Stargate that's slightly seedier.

Re: OOC : Relaxation room

Hi Folks

Real Life has been keeping me very busy of late and with the various pressures I'm under I'm having to re-jig my time.  Sadly gaming is one of the things I'm having to cut back on :(   That said, I've sadly handed in my 'resignation' to Star Master and wish to thank you all for the time we've spent together and the stories we've written.

Thanks!
Sarah

Great the GM found THE BLOB and tossed it in the ship. Time to go.

Re: OOC : Relaxation room

That's the problem with using a d20 system. There's so many D&D monsters that can be reskinned and thrown against us that our characters have no way of knowing about. It'll be a gelatinous cube next. :(

Farewell, Sarah. Good luck to you.

Re: OOC : Relaxation room

Although I probably saw the '58 Blob many years ago, that wasn't in my consciousness when I came up with the slime.

Not even a d20 monster, though in Stargate they'd be 'aliens' instead. Even demons and devils could easily be the Eich or the Eddorians (for you Lensmen fans).

Re: OOC : Relaxation room

Just so. I have a series of books that have been published reskinning classic D&D monsters for use in superhero games using the Mutants & Monsters ruleset. They'd probably work in this context as well.

Just a question. How high is the chamber SG-X1 is in?

Re: OOC : Relaxation room

The ceilings in the engineering section are 15 feet high. In the central corridor, they are 20 feet high.

Hey, Kyle, who published those books? They sound interesting, but haven't been able to find any reference to them online.

OOC: Oh boy, first time I use my firearms untrained, I roll an error, 2.
19:22, Today: Hilda rolled 1 using 1d20-1. P90 (untrained).
Should be a narrow burst, -3 attack, +2 damage.

Take cover, everybody!!!

A quick question: do the team have ropes on them or is all that back on the FRED?

I haven't noticed if the doors across the ship close automaticaly or do they need to be closed manually.

Re: OOC : Relaxation room

When the ship has power, the doors will normally close automatically, but a command code can be entered on the control pad next to the door (for those that have them) that will keep the door open.

Sorry this isn't working for me, I'm not sure what to do at this point make my character an NPC and I'm leaving the game. I should have not done an Asgard its a bad fit for this setting.

Re: OOC : Relaxation room

I hope that you're around long enough to see this message, because I am a little confused by the problem you state you're having, and I hope that, before you leave us for good, you might help me to understand.

Are you saying you are having a problem playing an Asgard? Because -- some small language issues aside -- I think you'be been playing an excellent Asgard.

I mean, so far, your portrayal of an Asgard has been great; you've been both aloof and approachable, you've played your character as being very focussed and single-minded -- sometimes to the exclusion of acknowledging what's actually going on around you!  That's genius!

And that damn float chair! How outstanding an idea is that? It is both super useful, and at the same time a huge pain in the ass. Brilliant!

Maybe you haven't noticed, but along with all the adventure I like a little drama with my gaming. And drama is what you've certainly brought us! I mean, how much more dramatic can it be, when someone gets to say "What do you mean we're endangering the Protected Planets Treaty?!"

C'mon!  That's dramatic gold, right there!

So please, rethink your leaving. I mean, I'm still curious to find out how much more trouble Freyda can cause, just by sitting there ^_^

Stick around, Bubba!
