Re: OOC : Relaxation room

Clean and nice so far. I suppose, the center part of it will get "opened" when entered.

As for initiative, do you want us to put the numbers in IC threads. If so, it'll soon get messy, I think. Maybe these rolls should be left just in the roller box for further reference... What say you, GMs?

Re: OOC : Relaxation room

Yep, the center part will be visible when one of the two doors will be open. But you are not supposed to see the doors at the moment.

If you have nothing to say IC, put your roll here. Otherwise, add it at the end of your IC post, in Orange because it will be something OOC. :)

Edit : by the way, thanks for the nice words. :)

Sarah Morgan:
Hmm.  "Of course, Michael."  Well, if it hadn't been for her staying out, they'd have not seen the reaction of the people on the walls.  It's just a pity his leadership skills didn't extend to realising that.
We cannot be aware of what you saw because you did not reported it to the group before my reaction. ;)

@Hilda : the fluid initiative system is the system used in Stargate RPG to manage initiative. With this system, your initiative value can vary during an encounter as special actions can make you get or lose initiative points (Between some border values).
For example, aiming a weapon gives you +2 init while being targeted by a suppressive fire gives you -1 init.

It allows more tactical flexibility but it also a bit harder to play as you have to keep track of more values.

That's also true. I can change my post and ask you why you were so long, giving you the opportunity to tell us what you saw if you want. :)

Suggestion

Anyone with rank or a title would you add that to one of your Biography lines in the character details page.  Helps to remind people so they don't get that wrong when talking to you.

I have a license to tamper, so I went ahead and updated everyone's biography lines with whatever seemed appropriate. If anyone wants to change what I put, that's fine by me.

And I didn't tamper with your dirty Polish joke, Kaspar.

What does "Odpowiedz na moje pytania" mean, Kaspar?

Ah. That. Initiative is difficult enough to keep track of online without making it fluid. I'd be happy with a static system.

Re: OOC : Relaxation room

Hilda, I believe the door are closed for the time being so maybe we should think about the corridor as well, not just the door.

While we're at it, GMs, is there anything at all in the corridor that would come for us? I'm asking that cause I don't know how big fragments of it we should cover with a post.

Re: OOC : Relaxation room

Well despite what our dirty-minded GM says, "Odpowiedz na moje pytania" simply means "Please answer my question".

I had wanted to put "Będziesz odpowiadał na moje pytania", which means "You will answer my question", but it wouldn't fit in the allowed space.

For all my Polish and Swedish -- or anything else, for that matter -- translation needs, I use:

http://www.worldlingo.com/en/p...ingo_translator.html

What, you actually thought that I spoke all those languages?  I'm a victim of the American Educational System -- I'm lucky I even speak English!

Sorry, I've been busy yesterday and today (I had a friend at home that was unable to go back home because the train were all stuck) and I don't have the time to GM right now.

I will answer to this and all the other question tomorrow during my lunch time. :)

Re: OOC : Relaxation room

After some pondering, I'm now thinking that The Keeper has correctly nailed the course of action that Kaspar would have taken, given the circumstances.

Yup, when the door closed, even if it was before the deadline Kaspar had set, then I think I would have had Kaspar -- and presumably Vasandra & Gavin, too -- rush up to it.

Then, when the door reopened -- and after I looked at the map some more -- and neither Hilda nor Rajip were visible just inside the door, I think I would have had Kaspar try contacting them by radio.
Remember, Kaspar is not/was not a Field Officer; he flew a desk (sorta).  And, while he's read about, and maybe even been trained in (a long time ago), field communications protocols, he's never had to use them!  So, when he didn't see Hilda & Rajip just inside the door, rather than assume they were quietly scouting ahead, yes, I think I would have said that Kaspar would probably have become concerned that the two were trapped or captured, or something like that.

Sooooooo....

To that end, I'm gonna put up a post for Kaspar that reflects the actions that The Keeper said he took.

Rajip, I don't know if you'll want to edit your post, then....

Re: OOC : Relaxation room

I don't really like to have to "force" a player to take actions but I found it was the best RP way to describe that once the door is closed, all communications are impossible.

Also, I was writing from my phone with low battery so I had to go fast. :p
