X8K-S21: Tropicana
Jason has been keeping watch on the surrounding waters, half expecting a giant squid or something to suddenly pop up out of it. Flying sharks, maybe? Mermaids! That would be awesome!
He circles the island as he does, making note of the symbols on the rocks.
"Six of these match the coordinates that brought us here," he comments speculatively.
"You'll also notice that they are in the same sequence that we used to dial this planet. Doesn't it follow then that the remaining six are another gate address? And they should be in the correct sequence already."
"This one equates to the X symbol we use. So, the one to the left or the right should be the first symbol in the sequence, and should follow the same order we used. Thus, clockwise."
"If it is supposed to be a gate address, I'd say the one to the right starts the new sequence. It follows logically, since you have to get here first in order to dial the next sequence. Of course, the Alterans could have made it hard and gone counter-clockwise."
"Other than that, there's nothing here but sand. As the sun moves across the sky, the gate will provide some shade, but we can't even look forward to a tropical sunset because there's no scenery!"
