Insolence!
How dare you not prepare for this battle as best you can?
Will you at once get to it and replace those spells with more efficient armaments to comba these foul creatures!

Or how does it go?

And done. Health ratings to 27/36 and Spell Defense to 11 please.

Also added another Spell Matrix, Life Circle of One. Not the most versatile of spells, but more than warranted to have around just in case.

Is anyone else having trouble with the maps now suddenly? It's asking me to login, so I registered and then tried to login but it's still having issues.

Re: PM OOC
Well, it says - there are images we're not cleared for.  Probably things the GM has set up to have `ready' but doesn't want to give away yet, and, as long as we're getting all pokey about it, I'd guess it's either a new feature, or something he just decided was worth using.

Just click off to the side and it lets you see and use the map as intended.  You don't have to log in or anything.

Yeah i know, as far as i could tell i didn't see anything new, so it's most likely hidden enemies we'll discover when we get close enough anyway.

What I meant was, "Cool pointy hat, Glunker!  That's a great idea, when the spiders drop, they'll impale themselves on it!  You're the smartest Dwarf I know."

Sorry if that didn't come out clearly.  Probably a dialect thing, like "soda" vs "pop".

I'm not sure it would be an improvement compared to the hat you're wearing right now...

Today Bastet rolled. 7 for default skill Distract.

In reply to Calaun Ontrix Seyr (msg # 938):

I was running out of room on the server, so resaved the animals and monsters as smaller images in a smaller format which gave me more room to save more pictures.

I think that might be the issue.  I'll clear it and re-save.  That should fix the map issue.

Re: PM OOC
Regarding the Combat Matrix -- I didn't even think to check my U/D ratings!  So yeah, those too.  Dai'Kensha should be 33 and 42, apparently.

And since I think you missed my earlier post on it, Spell Defense should be 10 and Physical Armor should be 6.

...On another note, it looks to me like all of this with the eels is well out of the range for the torch?  Probably close enough for people with Low Light vision, but... can Bastet and Dai'Kensha even see this?

Re: PM OOC
Dai'Kensha - updated the combat Matrix.

The Eels are 11+ squares away from the light.  They will be in shadows for those with low-light.  -2 Steps to attack.

Those with normal vision will be at -5 steps to attack.

Everyone:  I've moved to just 1 initiative roll.  If you have Air Dance or Tiger Spring, decide which you want to use for this upcoming round.  If you change your mind and want to try a different one, you can reroll the next round however the initiative won't change.

Example:
Dex:  5
Air Dance: 7
Tiger Spring: 10
Air Dance + Tiger Spring: 16

You could use all 4 different initiatives, but you'd have to roll each one from rounds 1-4, then on Round 5 you could decide which one you wanted to use however you wouldn't reroll.

Re: PM OOC
Calaun - currently the Eels are in shadows, even for those with Low-Light.  The Torch has a range of 30' or 5 squares for normal vision and double for Low-Light.  The middle Eel is 11 squares away, so you will have a -2 Spellcasting penalty.

If you don't have another light source illuminating the eels, you'll need to reroll with step 8 spellcasting.

Still holding on to her prepared threaded spell

Holding onto threads for a spell isn't possible at low levels.  You might be able to do something like that at higher circles I think with a talent or perhaps with a knack, but not now.

However, looking over the dice roller, you never rolled Thread Weaving for Astral Spear TN6.  How are you holding a thread which you didn't thread?

Because I.. forgot to roll for it?

Sorry, the last couple of battles Calaun was either throwing around zero thread spells and kicking wolves to death, so it hasn't come up much.

I got a feeling there is something we can do to illuminate more of the cavern, but if my ascension is correct we probably blew several Perception-checks prior to the fight.

In reply to Calaun Ontrix Seyr (msg # 955):

I'll let you roll threadweaving, as if you rolled it last round.
If you miss the TN (6) however you won't have the spell ready this round.
You can add Karma if you need/want to.
