As his spell finishes a burning sphere appears just above one of the elves (E6) and lights up the whole area, then drops towards the elf.  Chortling he turns to Minmorc, "Is dat easier?"

Riza moves out but keeps close to the walls near the gate and let's fly with a normal arrow at elf e5. Once fired she will attempt to hide in the shadows again to avoid being a pin cushion

Beaming from ear to ear Minmorc will laugh and say "yep, dat'll do nice... hey I knows wot dat signal means, FIRE!" With that Minmorc will loose an arrow at the elf furthest to his left.

Bulldust moves in silently, down wind and out of sight.  He rises up level with the ledge, 10' west of e1 and still behind the outcrop, getting himself into position to take a peek and sniff them out.  He can see twelve elves but where is Santa?  A wizard could be a problem for a giant bugbear flying with borrowed spells.  He grins as Team Ardenuff return fire from the fort, licking his lips at the prospect of skewered and roasted elf!

Jurz's flaming sphere materialises just behind elf e6 on top of the cliff then rolls down to engulf the elf. The elf screams in agony for a moment then topples over the edge of the cliff and falls like a flaming meteor to thud onto the ground 20ft east of the tunnel entrance. The flaming sphere remains on top of the cliff lighting up 20 feet either side of it, so elves e2 to e10 are clearly illuminated at the moment.

Riza shoots her bow from the cover of the open northern gate of the fort and hits and wounds the elf e5 immediately to the left of the flaming sphere.

Minmorc takes a shot at the elf e1 on the far left  and manages to put an arrow straight through the elf's chest. The elf topples forward soundlessly, falls off the cliff, bounces off the protruding outcrop and thuds onto the ground 15 feet south of the tunnel entrance.

Then one Orc on top of each tower (o2, o4 and o6) takes a shot at the elves with a light crossbow. One of them, o2 manages to wing one of the elves e3 but that elf is only lightly wounded.

The remaining 10 elves scramble away from the light of the flaming sphere. Four elves (e2 to e5) west of the flaming sphere head west but they only move ten feet before they spot giant Bulldust lurking just below the edge of the cliff. Before they can react Bully lashes out with his guisarme catching the first two (e2 and e3) and sweeping them off the top of the cliff. They fall, screaming, to bounce off the overhang and both land with a thud 10ft southwest and 15ft south of the tunnel entrance. The other two elves e4 and e5 stop 15 and 20ft from Bulldust and snap off a couple of shots at the giant bugbear but in their panic one misses completely and the other arrow deflects harmlessly off Bully's armour.

The eastern six elves don't see any of those events as they hurry away along the eastern edge of the cliff. (Next round they will be out of sight over a ridge line at the eastern edge of the map. They are already out of sight of Minmorc and the others hiding behind the northeast building of the fort.

Ooc: The flaming sphere is now where elf e6 was on Game Map for group G. e4 is now where e2 was on the map and wounded e5 is where e3 used to be on the map. Elves e1, e2, e3 and e6 are dead and fallen at the bottom of the cliff.

Jurz chortles as the Flaming Sphere bounces and rolls along the edge of the cliff towards E5.

Bulldust rises like a bugbear-shaped blimp over e4 and e5.  He's so excited - the elves are running all over the place, falling off the cliff, one even on fire!  He can hardly contain himself, if his feet were on the ground he'd be hopping from foot to foot.  There are two elves right below him and they would be easy pickings, but there are six more running the other way.  He knows he just has to chase after the six, but feels it would be impolite not to say something to the two below.  "Um, sorry, gotta go!  Youse'll  have ta get killed by someone else."  He knows they'll be disappointed but hopes they'll understand.

The giant bugbear flies after the six elves that retreated east along the ledge.  He is struck by how similar this feels to his dream: that surreal, dream-like, floating sensation and chasing elves through the woods.  He hovers above them and leers down at them.  "Hi.  I'm Bulldust.  Have youse been having dreams about me too?"

If Minmorc knew what irony is an Ork shooting elves with a longbow would arouse his academic sensibilities, as he doesn't though he doesn't even pause as he runs towards the gate, draws an arrow and looses at the elf (#4) on the far left, laughing maniacally as he goes.

Minmorc hurriedly joins Riza, Jurz and Oopses at the north gate and they continue to fire at the elves on the cliff. Jurz rolls his flaming sphere after the western pair of elves but his target (e5) manages to evade the flaming sphere this time. Minmorc hits the westernmost elf with an arrow that flings the elf back against the rocks above the cliff edge and for once that elf doesn't fall off the cliff.

Riza decides the escaping eastern elves are more fun to shoot and plants an arrow straight into the middle of the easternmost elf's back. He collapses on the ledge at the top of the cliff but doesn't fall off.

Giant-sized flying Bully apologises to the elf by the flaming sphere that he can't stay to play, then flies after the fleeing eastern group of elves. When he is directly above the last three or four he politely introduces himself. The elves are either terrified of him or just plain rude and they all try to run away from him, so Bully swats at them with his goose hook (guisarme). The oversized polearm ploughs through all four elves that Bully can reach and sends the bodies of all four tumbling down off the cliff.

The three orcish crossbowmen on the towers of the fort take aim and fire at the last two elves as well. The orcish crossbowman in the western tower hits the elf (e5) illuminated by the flaming sphere and that elf collapses at the top of the cliff. The other two orcs miss their target.

The last elf (e11) retreats 30ft further along the clifftop then turns and takes a shot at the giant, flying bugbear but his arrow flies wide of the mark.

Then Moffdust, Dregz and Raven dash in through the northern gate of the fort.

The little goblin priest looks up approvingly as he trails after Moffa and Raven, spying the Elves dying in a variety of ways.

"Are wese winnin ?" he inquires politely.

"We ain't even at half time yet but I'd say der elves is loosin, hur hur hur."

"Itz rainin elvesz! Watz goin on? Youz needz help?"

 She readied her bow in case she needs to shoot elveses too.

"Nah.  I fink we has beated de elves. But accordin' to dat dwarf over dere, dere is some Humies coming to play later."  He glances across to towards the dwarf and continues in a stage whisper "But de dwarf don't know much.  He didn't knows about de elveses." Jurz replies to both Dregz and Raven  "An he's be whining about de elvses seeing him." A sly look comes into his eye as the whisper becomes even more staged.  "I fink it was only one of de elves dat got away ...."

Turning back to the combat Jurz encourages the flaming ball to bounce its way down the cliff and along  the side of the bottom edge, running over fallen elves if he can.

Moffdust puffs up to the gate. "Nothings." she offers preemptively. She glances surreptitiously at Raven and Dregz.

She looks up to watch the closing of the elf show on the cliff. "Dats my little brudders up dere." she murmurs proudly.

Flying on Moffa's wings, Bulldust leaves e11 to suffer the slings and arrows of outraged humanoids and casts his gaze out and down to get a good look at the surroundings.  Sawtooth's orcs look like ants crawling around in the castle - not scary at all from up here.  Any sign of the cavalry approaching?  Can he see Dregz' stick in the cliff face?

Dregz looks up, admiring the lack of elves in Bully's vicinity and trying to make out the bit of the Magic Stick that's stuck up there.

Moffdust notes Dregz obvious disappointment as he gazes up at the cliff. She pats his shoulder in sympathy, knowing exactly how he's feeling. "Dere dere Dregzies. Dere'll be other monkey rideses."

 She looked up at the top of the cliff trying to see Bully too.

Looking down, Bulldust sees Raven looking up.  He waves.

Jurz swings around suddenly and peers all around, then turns to look at Moffa, "Wheres de monkeys?"

Minmorc will stash the bow and draw his spear. He'll then start making his way to the elves below Bulldust. He'll also yell "Oi, Bully, yer killed em good, can yer bring us a live one? I wanna say hello."

Bulldust nods his understanding to Minmorc. "I'll ask."

Turning to e11 he asks in elvish "Care- tye mére- ana quet- as an Orc."  It was clear earlier that the elves wanted to die when they started shooting at his allies.  But he is not sure that the elf will want to speak with Min.  He waits for a reply.

Moffdust stares at Jurz, her eyes wide in complete understanding. "Exactly!"

"No monkeys up ere yet."  Bulldust advises as he waits for the elf to reply.

While Jurz joins some of his companions in speculating whether they are winning yet, he still manages to mentally guide his flaming sphere off the cliff to land on one of the fallen elves (e6), searing the upper side of the corpse nicely.

Raven and Riza stand with bow ready but hesitate to shoot the last elf when Minmorc yells a request to Bully to bring him a live elf to say hello.

Bully was looking around admiring the view from up there but snaps back to focus on the last elf (e11). He drifts a bit closer to ask him something in elvish.

However, the three orcish crossbowmen on the towers of the fort have a completely different thought in mind for the last elf still standing. All three take aim and fire at the last elf. The orcish crossbowman in the southwestern tower hits the elf but only wounds him. The other two orcs miss their target.

The elf winces as the crossbow bolt wings him. He glares at Bully but answers calmly enough.  Then he looses an arrow at the orcish crossbowman in the southeast tower of the fort. The arrow shatters harmlessly on the stone crenulation in front of the orcish crossbowman.

But Bully understands the elf's wish to communicate and kindly helps him on his way. A gentle sweep of Bully's goose hook sweeps the elf clean off the cliff and well on his way to where Minmorc  is waiting.

Belatedly, Bully sees that the elf might not quite make it.

"Better talk fast, Min," he calls down to Minmorc as the elf flies screaming through the air.

OOC: Main game map updated. Technically, elf 11 is still alive until he hits the ground, but I don't hold much hope for a miracle to save him!
