"AAAAAARRGH, DAT WOZ REALLY LOUD! I WANNA URT IM, REAL BAD FER DAT ONE, JUS GIMME A SEC SOZ MY TEEF WILL STOP RINGING!" Minmorc will pull out both his wands, first taking a shot of lesser vigor before applying a couple of cure light wounds.

"Yeah!  Lets go get 'im."  Bulldust moves to the top of the stair.  "Last one in's a paladin!"

Moffdust sends Centi downstairs ahead of Bully. She puffs herself up and swaggers to the stairs after everyone else, snickering softly as she goes.

Minmorc will tuck away his wands and cradle his Axe wife. Taking one last sad look at the pulped remains of his pet Felldrake he will head off after Moffa.

"Hur Min!  Youse da paladin!"

"Nuh uh, yous takes dat back! If imma Paladin yous is a Elf! A skinny, pointy tra la la lally, a singin in der valley makin toys fer som fat human Elf!"

"Well ... sometimes I am my own favoured enemy ... an it'd be cool ter live fer a fousand years ... so I'm OK wiv bein a elf, so long as I still get ter kill all da ovver elfs, an den when I'm da only elf den everyone will fink better of dem.  But youse still da paladin if youse da last one in da hole, jus ask Jurzie."

Jurz listens to the jumbled case that Bully puts forwards, then cocks his head on one side and considers for a moment before replying.  "Noes!" he says firmly.  "Dat is der fill-up-sillies, and every one knows dat fill-up-sillies is written down in de bookses!"

Then a moment later he adds "Except for the elvses, maybe ..."

Dregz nods, patting the Holy Book fondly.  "Dat's right," the goblin priest agrees.

"I 'eard dat Orcs call 'em pala- dindins, eny way ..."

Minmorc will start ticking off the names on his fingers. "Pala dinners is mostly spam inna can. Wid horses dey fast food an on wagon deys meals on wheels. Not much my mates won't eat really, once yer done wid der spam yer eat der horse, seen orcs so hungry dey ate der wagon. Don't like eating Dwarves, deys kinda gritty an der hair gets stuck in yer teef. I ain't et a halfling yet, I fink I'd like ter eat one a dose one day... boil em, mash em, put em inna stew..."

Moffdust stifles a giggle with a clawed hand over her mouth as she listens to the goblin and orc tribe around her, delighted to be with such wise and funny company. Centi's many feet clatter down the stairs and she follows the others down just ahead of the paladin at the end of the line.

"I likeses der green wuns best," Dregz decides, pronouncing his opinion on the dragons depicted on the murals as he takes his place safely in the middle of the line heading down the stairs.

"You'se gotta be really carefuls of de green ones.  Dey can hide in der bushes,"  the forest goblin mutters after a moment of thought.  "You'se can see de ovver ones easier."

"If yer can sees it ders one rule wid dragons. Is smaller den a horse, eats it, is bigger den a horse splits up an run so it can't eat der whole tribe. Course, if I finds a dragon I fink I'll ave a crack, I really wanna know what dragon tastes like. I reckon it'd taste like chicken, peri peri chicken."

With varying exclamations of awe or trepidation the team all note the pictures of evil chromatic dragons adorning the walls of the first chamber as they head across the room to the spiral staircase in the floor.

Moffa sends her huge centipede down the stairs first to scout the way (or trip any traps?) then Bully, Minmorc, Raven, Jurz, Dregz and Moffa follow it down the stairs.

The spiral staircase winds downwards through 45 feet of solid stone before emerging into another chamber. This one is also circular with 60-foot diameter and an arched ceiling 50 feet high. However this chamber also has a 10-foot wide ledge all the way around the room 10 feet above floor level. The staircase spirals right down through this chamber and ends at floor level. There is no railing or balustrade on the outer edge of the staircase for that last 50 feet.

The centipede is the first to emerge into that chamber but when Bully emerges into that chamber he quickly realises this one is not unoccupied. A huge, multi-coloured, 5-headed reptile is standing on the ledge with all five heads looking up towards the top of the spiral staircase, watching the huge centipede coming down the stairs. Each head is a different colour (red, white, blue, green and black), like a mix or all the chromatic dragons pictured in the room above. It has a heavy chain manacled to its right front leg but it is standing on the chain and you can’t see where the chain ends.

The upper part of the stairs near the roof of this chamber is clearly out of the huge reptile's reach but it looks like the closest part of the final turn of the staircase closer to the floor will be within its reach.

"Deres a dragon fing wiv five heads." Bully whispers, stopping where he is but budging over to let the others see or move past.  "Maybe Es Sarch was wrong about B'zrrk T'marro only having dose two wyverns, dis fing down ere looks like a mini-Tiamat, wiv different coloured heads an all.  P'raps we should watch wot it does ter Centi?"  He sniffs the air trying to catch the scent of the beast.

"My Orky sense is tellin me dat all is not as it looks like." Minmorc will nod sagely at Bully. "Moffa, I reckon yous should definitly feed it Centi."

"Ok, but jus his headses. He doesn't needs dat." Moffdust crowds down to the front of the line with Bully and Min to look at the room. She sends Centi winding his way down to see if he reaches the bottom of the stairs unharmed. "I wonders if we's could flies down to de ledge on de udder sides away from de Tiamat-tling."

"I's could! I's can glides," Raven announces excitedly.

"But I can't carry anyone else," she adds sadly.

The far ledge above the doorway is looking very inviting indeed !  Particularly as Dregz doesn't like looking in the other direction at all.  Indeed, he tries closing his eyes in the hope that when he opens them again the too-many headed dragon will have vanished (though undoubtedly that would scare him more).

"Dey've trapded it der," the little priest notes the chain ... though in truth the fearsome creature must have been down here a long time and grown, for he can't see how it could get out of the chamber.

"Ise could jump over der to der ledge an' float down wiv dese boots ... an' Ise could carry Jurz or Moffa.  Dunno how we'd attaches der rope for der bigguns," the hairy goblin looks at the centre spindle of the banisterless spiral stairway with some perplexity.

”I wonders if dose heads breaves stuff, like der real dragons do?  Dat would bees nasty.”  Jurz  muses as he looks down at the beast and wracks his brains hard.  ”What do you fink Moffa?  Does fings like dat even exists?”  He asks turning his head sideways and squinting hard at the thing below.

Dregz's speculation about the size of the 5-headed dragon might be just a trifle exaggerated. Although it really is huge, it would probably still be able to squeeze up the spiral staircase and out through the doors into the tunnel, if it wasn't chained in this chamber!

Jurz steps back, stumped by the thing below them, "I'se could fly down dere, if'n i'se needed to.  But a ride down would be better." Jurz agrees with Dregz.

"I know everyfing about dragons." Bulldust announces proudly.  "But dat's not really a dragon, its a 5-headed hydra, wiv its heads coloured-in by someone who's in love wiv da dragon goddess Tiamat.  Probably dat B'zrrk elf who we's goin ta fight T'marro. <smirk> Hydras don't have dragon breaffs, except da pyrohydra wot breavves fire and a cryohydra wot breavves cold.  An wiv hydras if you cut off one of da heads den two new heads grow from the stump!  Dey's awesome eh?"

He moves down a few steps to bet a better view, watching to see what happens when Centi goes past.  "Da green head is cute don't ya fink Moffa?  Can you magic me down past her? so we don't have ter chop all her heads off?"

"I can't tell if dey's a real hydras or not." Moffdust shakes her head at Jurz, "But I can gets Bully and Min and me down to de ledges wid a steps spells. So dats all of us. Only poor Centi has ter gets eaten." She does not seem overly worried. She advances down toward the jumping off point opposite the hydra get a better view of Centi crawling downstairs.

She shrugs over her shoulder at Bully. "Youse can keeps de green heads if youse can cuts it off."
