Re: OOC Chat

Hi all,

I'm sorry it has taken me about 3 weeks to post again. Life got a bit busy again - that's my only excuse.

I am heading off for a 12 day holiday from tomorrow but I should be able to check in some days to keep things moving.

We were supposed to be on a tour in China by now but for obvious reasons plans have changed and we have opted to tour around Tasmania instead, which will be another item ticked off our bucket list. :o)

Have a good time :)  We will be here when you get back - and China will still be there in a couple of year's time.

Re: OOC Chat

I have a question for you all to think about. Everyone is now on approximately 33,900 experience points (Level 8 or ECL 8) and only need to reach 36,000 XP to level up again.

Would you be interested in a short side quest to top up your XP and level up again before teleporting to the next segment of the Black Mace?

Secondly, is there anything in particular you would like to see in the adventures ahead - a particular magic item you would love to get your hands on, or a particular encounter? Any suggestions on that are always welcome in the OOC thread: What I'd really like to see is ...

Re: OOC Chat

I'm loving the ride wherever it takes us - a side quest for xp in an area that facilitates spending loot and raises few moral objections, I'm keen :)

Yep, Bully's up for a quickie.
He has dreams of flying and chasing elves ... and he still hasn't stormed a barricade (very impressed when Min did that, would like to try it).

Jurz wants to storm a barricade too.  Although he means it differently to Min and Bully :P

Re: OOC Chat

One of the sites I worked on had a cake act. It was a 14 page document that a) defined what was a cake (baked and cheesecakes were a given, pancakes counted before 10am, muffins and icecream cake were acceptable substitutes but biscuits were not cakes etc) and b) the occasions when an individual owed the collective a cake (ie when a mistake had been made) or the occasions when the collective owed a cake to an individual (birthdays, weddings, retirement, the birth of a child, when moffa has to get out of bed early etc)

Re: OOC Chat

Hi all, we have moved house this weekend, so things are still in boxes (including my computer) and it is likely to be a few days before I have internet connection at the house. I won’t be able to update this game for a little while as I am limited to using my phone for internet access at the moment.

Re: OOC Chat

Hi Team,

Well, a few days turned into a few weeks and somehow time kept slipping away and I just never seemed to find the time, energy and motivation to draw up the next map and start the next phase of this adventure. You have my apologies for that. I really did intend to get this game moving again much quicker than this. But at last I have gotten my act together and we are back on the road again.

I hope we will all enjoy the ride.  :o)

Re: OOC Chat

And a belated welcome back from me too.  Still on holiday my self - posting with fat fingers on a phone, so please excuse short and badly spelled posts.

Today it is a walk around Kielder Water followed by a late evening trip to an observatory to look at stars and hear a talk on stars and mythology 😀

In reply to Dregz (msg # 761):

LOL - It did take a while but, yes, we have finally finished unpacking. Ironically, my D&D books were among the last things to be unpacked as there was a long delay before new study furniture could be delivered.

Bu now we've even started 'unpacking' the garden at our new house. It was so jam-packed with plants it is almost a jungle, so that is going to take a while before it starts to look civilised.  ;o)

In reply to Bulldust (msg # 764):

They have an Enchanted Woods -  we found a huge chain attached to a tree, but what ever was chained up, escaped.  There is also a door in the middle of the wood -  just a door and frame on its own - Probably a planar portal of some type.  Oh, there was a petrified giant hedgehog and a fairy cottage too  (where we stopped and ate lunch).

Later we found a Minotaur's maze ...

Re: OOC Chat

Brilliant! That's what we should do with the jungle that invaded our front garden.

Moffa, I'm going to need Sparkie to run around in our front garden in ever-decreasing circles then burn out a nice big den in the middle. One instant maze, coming up! ;o)

Re: OOC Chat

pfft mazes are easy, just keep left hand on left wall or right hand on right wall and you will eventually get out. Doesn't work on Harry potter mazes but they aren't mazes, they're magic and while magic is cool it is also cheating.

Read the left or right hand rule with mazes and thought it was cool. As Hermione pointed out things like that aren't magic, they're logic, which is often less flashy, but just as cool.

Re: OOC Chat

*grin*  yep.  We used that rule -  although only after we had found the centre of the maze.  My wife's characters tend to use it when they are exploring dungeons as well.
