A kick starter project that offers a PMMA glass wall mount of the periodic table and you can buy D6's of the metallic elements to use or display, some pure, some plated and some alloys.

Fascinating idea, those elemental dice. It would be great to see them all displayed that way. The gaseous elements appear to be clear glass or plastic. I wonder how they will represent the radioactive elements?

Doesn't matter - I won't be able to make them out anyway from the requisite 26 miles away.  :>

Rather than writing this in Moffglish, here's what Moffdust can do to help with the dragon slaying plan.

Can the black stick teleport giants even if they only have one foot in the 10' circle? That'd be the easiest option for transporting a hit squad. I'm thinking possibly yes because Rocky and Wolfie have been teleported like that.

Moffdust can Dimension Door one giant at a time, say 2-3 times, from valley floor to ledge or into dragon cave. Fly down in between (like Dregz levitate down) takes a while so dey has ter be quiets while dey waits fer dere friendses. Can someone Silence them?

The dragon could Plane Shift to escape with the next piece of Dregz' stick (yes, peeked at MM2). Moffdust can cast Dimension Anchor to prevent that, but if this is young adult dragon then SR makes it 50/50 chance of success, less for older dragons. Need to figure out her age to rate that plan.

Moffdust can cast short range teleport spells to get us out if it goes bad.

She can't protect anyone from a searing light breath weapon or blindness.

Could the black stick teleport us to another plane if the dragon escaped there?

And to avoid translating into Dregzovakian ...  :P

Dregz has had some insights into the workings of the Magic Stick, but we're getting a bit beyond any degree of certainty now.  He knows it will teleport anyone within the 5' radius to (technically towards) the next segment ... and while we don't know fer shure if that means just a foot in will suffice, given the numbers of our tribe, the familiars and the fact that sometimes some of us have Enlarge spells on them, I suspect the "foot in the circle" would be right.

We can keep jumping after the dragon, but given the description for the Teleport spell, Moffa would know even if Dregz doesn't, that interplanar travel isn't likely possible (the Magic Stick doesn't have to follow the spell description, but I'd guess probably does ...)

Though equally the piece of the Magic Stick stuck in the dragon might prevent it from plane shifting - it might not want to be out of reach of the rest ??

Dregz can cast Silence once, but can memorise multiple if we need (and if we take the time to rest/pray).

Dreg'z Goggles make him immune to blindness, and doesn't have Remove Blindness, but could memorise one or two if needed.  Don't know how we'd protect from Searing Light (I don't think Darkness spells would do it as it's Divine light).

And in the interests of sharing ...  Even though Jurz still wants to make sure we have the stick in our possession BEFORE we attack the dragon.

Jurz could have Rock to Mud AND Mmud to Rock - although there are saving throws.

Jurz can also Call Lightning - which is an AoE spell and avoids any SR :)

Even more importantly.  Jurz can bring people back from the dead - although he can't promise that they will have good goblin shapes.  They might even come back as Humans.

Just as important from a personal perspective, Jurz can hide quite well, and is very confident of making it back south without the stick.

Good point Jurz, we have to get the stick-thing before we attack the dragon, then it doesn't matter if she escapes.  We can't exactly ask the giants to wait quietly on the ledge while we negotiate with the dragon ... so we have to settle with the dragon first, then return to the dragon after we've made a deal with the giants.

How about this ... Return to the dragon now, give her the head and empty our pockets to scrounge up 10,000gp worth of stuff.  We can also take up the dead giant's body and trick her into frying it with her breath, that will help us convince the giants.  When we return later with the giants we recover our stuff and split the dragon hoard with the giants, after killing or driving off the dragon, yawn, easy bit.  The giants remain possible allies for future battles with Watchers and maybe even sign up for a Nuffleball team...

That's so mad ... it just might work !  :P

Sounds about right, and we already got about half of that from the giant.

Even simpler plan...let's go to the deeper jewel cave that Soo de Invisible Soo described, deal with the water that rises up and get enough gems from the walls to pay off the dragon, then leave. We don't have to fight anyone other than a water monster. We could be done today.

KISS!  That gets my vote, if it can be done simply.  Let's go now and check it out, as soon as we finish the sheep. :-)

Brilliant !  And the dragon just said she wanted 10000 gold coins or equivalent in treasure - she didn't say we HAD to steal them from the giants, just suggested that as the most likely source.   Not that we mind lying, but we can be righteously indignant if she objects.  ;P

Now ... what do we need to survive plan C or D or whatever it is we're up to ?  Water breathing ?

This morning I took Moffa's mum's dog for a walk.  Two big dogs ran out, their owners yelling after them.  They barked and sniffed but did not bite.  Art imitates life!  To that end I suppose I was the blob and a small dog on a leash my pseudopod.

Small dogs are more like Dwarfs ... they REALLY don't know that they're small !

Many years ago, we saw our Scottish Terrier (Imaginatively names Scottie) run underneath a much larger dog (A boxer) bite its testicles and try to hang on.

I was a child at the time.  Now, the thought of that makes my eyes water.
