That’s a large party, so I should probably have invisibility handy for when the dragon comes to make it smaller :P

round 1 again

Since this was going to get lost in the OOC thread here it is again....

Gwythe has had his free action round and stabbed the bad guy so I think its fair to say that Cedric's attempts at mediation are not going to go well.

Things are going to be chaotic for a while so I am wanting to go with individual initiatives and fog of war, i.e. your cannot be reactive to another person's actions within the same round.  So say Tindo decides to fireball the place you can't all jump out the door... Not a hint or anything....

So how we're going to play this is that each of you individually PM me with your init, action and any necessary dice rolls and I will bring them all together with the bad guys' actions and inits.  Please do not use the in thread PM function but the private messages using heading such as 'combat posts'.

Mahalo and good luck....

xps!!!

xps for the fun in Nulb and the battle with the Ogre mage

[Private to Arek Blackiron: +6780xp]
[Private to Ronalt de Gault: +8300xp]
[Private to Yesil: +2790xp]
[Private to Tindoome Uurraumo: +3090xp]
[Private to Kalador: +5760xp divide them by 2 for each class]
[Private to Iviana: +6190xp]
[Private to Gwythe: +7080xp]
[Private to Brother Yew: +2000 xp (just so you don't get left behind....)]

As always, the award is based on frequency and quality of posts and role-playing rather than treasure and body count (though you get something for that). If you get a 10% XP bonus, I have not factored that in so you need to do that on today's awards.

Oh and remember xps get divided by the number of classes you have, sorry Iviana...

Yesil

Lets move this Yesil discussion into this thread...

You can assume that the magic items are safe though they should should not be flaunted.... If Yesil reappears.

This is the $64k question do you as a party want Yesil back? On the one hand she will continue to have magic and magic user issues, on the other she is front line fighter and you do not have a lot of them to protect said magic users. (Otis will not be adventuring with you in the near future. Leaving really only Ronalt and Kalador with Iviana and Arek as secondary fighters)

So I would like to poll each member and get their input. Do you want Yesil or not, and I think we need a clear majority in favour of her returning before she will.

Re: Yesil

As a player I'd want her back, but in all honesty Tindo would not want to see her again.

Aside from her strength, the party does need to operate as a whole, and unless there was an apology from Yesil, (which is not going to happen) why would either of them choose to be around each other?

Re: Yesil

I'd be happy to have them back.

On the other hand, I don't want half the roleplaying to revolve around one character and their hard-coded hatred of magic. Can I suggest that the player be given more flexibility, perhaps to role-play their player growing to be less distrustful of magic, adopting a more good magic/evil magic understanding, starting now.

Otherwise the game is going to collapse into eternal magic bellybutton gazing and we're all going to get frustrated.

Totally agree with you Gwythe.  I'm happy to roleplay to try and work towards some sort of understanding.  Lets get on with the adventure not the character personality clash.

Er...are you sure you want to ask me a question?  I seem to have a hard time with giving quick answers. grin

So, um, taking out the whole rambling thought process thingie... my immediate vote would be "no".

There's, you know, lots more, but it keeps getting to be, indeed, lots, so I'll just leave it there for now.

Re: Yesil

Given another level or two and the issue will basically go away - she won't be wanting to use any of it herself (except weapons and maybe armour) but she will accept others using it.
The longer she's around it, the more she will see it's not all bad. Lets think of if as a teaching opportunity.

To date Yesil hasn't expressed any actually hatred to individual characters (ok, perhaps towards that weirdo Diviac, but everyone though he was trouble), and has kept a fairly wide berth of Tindo and Iviana.

Tindo is at a definate disadvantage because of her pure mage nature (being an elf can't help either). Mist, her familiar, is a jaguar and a rather impressive specimen at that, so thats a point in her favour.

Iviana has two things going for her - she's a fighter and she's also a cleric/witchdoctor/wisewoman. She may be a half elf and dabble with magic, but her focus (to Yesil) is on combat and religion. Memento
Vivere, her familiar, might be a weasel, but that's sort of strangeness is to be expected with these wisewomen....

Is now a good time to disclose I asked for Mist to be taken away from Tindo?  :o)

Re: Yesil

So mixed response, no surprise....  At the moment Yesil is an NPC played somewhat schizophrenically between The Assistant and me. My view now is that if we can get a new player for her I would finesse her back in but otherwise she becomes a background NPC.

The current IC post will take her out for as long as we need.
