Return to Hommlet

The party covered the distance between the moathouse and Hommlet without difficulty.  It is getting towards evening when they arrive.  Not suprisingly the place looks exactly the same as it did when they left two days before.  Peaceful and quiet, smoke curling from chimneys.  A few people are about but most seem indoors.

Ronalt hurries off to the druid, Jaroo, to see if he can heal his ills in preferrence the strick discipline of the temple of St Cuthbert. He plans to meet you later in the Inn.

The others enter the in and are welcomed by warm glowing fires and smells of cooked food and spilled ale.

Re: Return to Hommlet

A tired and muddied Dwarf stomped in through the inns door and plomped himself atop a stool near the fire.
"Ale woman and hurry up about it."  He hadn't even bothered dropping his pack at this stage, food and drink seemingly more important.

Re: Return to Hommlet

Felicia sat herself down next to her friend, her demeanor with the inn's staff more congenial as she ordered a drink for herself. "I doubt I will have difficulty sleeping tonight," she breathed out tired words to the dwarf.  "I think we should not return until our wounds are mended and we have spoken to Burne."

"Burne?"  Adia-Ny queries in his soft voice.

Re: Return to Hommlet

Ostler, the barkeep and owner of the Welcome Wench hurried over to the party as they take their seats. "Burne? Why he is the mage that watches over the village." he said a bit surprised that Adia-Ny did not know. "Now while Maria, gets you food and drink, tell me what news of the Moathouse! By the way you packs bulge there must be a tale to tell."

His loud voice carries across the common room and it is obvious he is not the only one interested in you answer.

Vestan plonks his bulging pack down. "Where's the cobbler in this place to be found? I've a pair of boots I want to be made, or perahps a taylor to make me some trews and a jacket?"

As he speaks he starts to unload his snake skin right there on the tavern floor, sorting through the pieces, making a pile with the largest pieces n the bottom.

Re: Return to Hommlet

"Stop please!" says the innkeep shrinking back from the gruesome and now smelly snakeskin. "Take it outside now! This is an eatery, not a slaughter house! There is a tanner in the village maybe he can help you."

Felicia seeks out the inn keeper to get a room for the night, they would have to seek an audience with Burne in the morning.

A tall and lean fellow in chainmail leans over to the mage. "If its a bed you seek, I could find room in mine." He winks.
