OCC: Lets move onto the next morning. With Arek with a new list of spells/prayers we can sneak out and give the old fort a new headache.

Re: A word in you ear....

Felicia leaves the chamber with the halfling and time drags on.

At various points food and bedding are brought in for the party as it it felt they should not venture into the village at this time.

About an hour after leaving Felicia returns, or at least someone with a strong resemblance to the human mage returns....

Drake just pops an eye open when he sees the magistra return, notes that she appears to be who she supposedly is, and says, "Anything interesting, Sorceress?"

Re: A word in you ear....

"My friends,"Felicia begins with a smile that is a mixture of gentleness, apology and reluctance.  "I have some news that I must share with you."  She glides in gracefully and take a seat, crossing her ankles and regarding them with warmth.

"These many months I have been watching the events unfold here in Hommlet.  The cannoness in Greyhawk asked me to travel here to watch  our temple , the temple of St. Cuthbert.  You see," she paused. "Although I am a student of the arcane arts, I am also a servant of the saint.   Something I have had to conceal from everyone around me.  An mage of illusion enchanted me and I have remained so for all this time.  It is only now that I am able to reveal myself to all of you.  I am sorry for not revealing this to you, but I could not risk allowing anyone to know what I needed to do for the greater good.  Now I am able to use  all of my gifts to defeat the evil that is creeping into this land.  That is, if you allow me to continue to travel in your midst.  I am skilled with the mace and can heal the party's wounds when I am not practicing the arcane."

Yesil crossed her arms over her chest then just as firmly put them down to her sides as she remembered her father telling her a warrior never did that.

Still, one eyebrow raised at Felicia's announcement, "Why would the gods gift a witch?"  In her mind, the two arts were wholly incompatible.

"Why not?" Arek hurumphed from his bed. "One god alone is wiser 'an all o' us put together! If they've chosen ta do this, then who're you an' I ta argue?"
He wasn't suprised Felicia revealed herself, in fact he'd half expected her to do so days before. Travelling together for weeks as they had, had given him many clues as to her true nature.

"It is not my place to question the saint's gifts or his reasons behind them.  But instead to be grateful for them and to use them to assist his followers and bring glory to him." Felicia said, regarding the wilderness warrior courteously and patiently.

Vestan blinks in sleepy surprise. "What's just gone on?" he asks, idly doodling a finger across the floor on which he sits. "Is something up? Can't we just get out of this damned village? Those who want to come with us can, those who don't can stay and entertain the idiots who live here."

"And why would the GOds not gift their faithful with mage's powers?  They gifted me with some fighting skills and the ability to cast spells, so perhaps we can just drop the whole witch thing?  Any crowds wanting to run us out of town have more than enough reasons without starting spurious black magic rumors."

more new friends

As the party start to sort themselves out for the evening, there is a knock at the door to the council room.  Without waiting for the door to be open, Rufus walks into the room with two strangers behind him. One is clearly a warrior, human male, standing tall and proud, the other a female elven magic user of considerable grace.

"This es Markus" he said indicating the warrior. "en this es Tindom.. err Tinder.. err I'll let 'er sort out tha names.  Both 'ave joost arrived en Hommlet but are weel kent ta Burne en me.  Wi can vouch for thar character en loyalty en wi recken they wud ‘elp  bolster yer group, particularly as Elmo es needed by Jaroo fur sum aither business.’

So saying he ushers them in and turns to leave adding, ”Ah’l leave ye ta git ta know each oother.”

Re: more new friends

The big warrior stands aside to let the elven female pass before he enters the council chamber.  His footsteps are accompanied by the near-constant rattle of heavy armor and asorted weaponry, as well as the thudding of the butt-end of a spear clutched in his hand upon the chamber's floor.

"The council tells me you could use my help," he says in a deep baritone voice.  "My name is Markus Sielaff."

Re: more new friends

Even though the elf female was standing slightly in front of Markus as they entered she somehow managed to get back behind him again. She is standing half hiding? Behind the man as he speaks and after he finishes she waits for a long time until she speaks. "I am .. ah emm " She looks to the floor again for an instance before looking up and speaking again "I am Tindoome Uurraumo of some small knowledge in the Art " This time she did manage to get it all out but the speed in witch she spoke her name and the rest was so fast that anybody not carefully listening probably didn`t understand much."But most call me Tindo" As she finishes she goes slightly red in the face and looks down to the floor

Drake stands as the woman enters.  "Well met, Tindoome Urmo?, ah Uurraumo, thank you,  and Markus Sielaff.  It is good that we have another warrior and another witch with us."  The word witch was accompanied by a wink at Tindo and Felicia and followed by a bit of a glare at Yesil.

"With so many new faces, perhaps we should all introduce ourselves.  I am Drake.  I weild a sword with some small grace and can throw a spell with some amount of accuracy."

"Yeah, yeah, you're you an' we're us! Now shut ya traps, fin' a bed and let me get sum sleep!"
There was nothing more grumpy and irritable than a very old dwarf forced to endure yet another night on the floor. All Arek wanted was for Clangeddin to allow him just a few peaceful hours on the banks of a stream fishing. All this plodding about, crawling through ruins and smiting goblins and the like was fun only to a point, a point he'd reached a good century or more ago.

Tindo looked at Drake confused at the mention of witch and followed his gaze to the girl having a strong feeling that she is missing something "Sorceress" She blurs out a bit louder then she intended as she seams surprised at the intensity her self.

"Well met, Drake," Markus replies.  "He's a cheery one," he adds with a grin and a nod toward the grumpy dwarf.

The big warrior drops his back with an overly loud, 'clang' as the shield strapped to it hits the floor first.  If the noise bothered him at all, Markus does not show it.  His spear and sword belt quickly join the pile, as does his armor as soon as he wiggles out of it.

"We leave first thing in the morning for this moathouse then?  To hear the council talk, there be some naughty bad things lurking there abouts."

Tindoome jumped startled by the unexpected noise, and as she looked back to the warrior she was a little red in the face again. She gave the room an apologetic look in general and went of to find a place for her self. Preferably in a corner ware she could have some privacy.
