Lareth's map - Moathouse lower level with ambush locations



Key to map of Moathouse, starting positons anyway....

18.(and 21) zombies area. All zombies destroyed.
19.(and 20) storage areas now emptied by us.  Stores now in area 29.
22.Old torture chamber with functioning rack and braziers. There is a secret passageway leading to the crypt 31.
23.Ante-chamber
24.Lubash’s bedroom, the enemy did not seem to enter here.
25.Diaminthe’s quarters, ex-prison cell. All prisoners have been emm.. disposed of, well have you seen how much an ogre eats everyday! Diamenthe has prudently made sure the room cannot be locked from the outside.
26.Stairs down.  There is a portcullis trap at the top of the stairs operated from  dummy doors (28). Diaminthe operated this in an attempt to slow them down last attack.  We found the portcullis in a partially lifted state blocked in place by debris scrounged around up top.  Clearly they have at least one of exceptional strength. The debris has been removed and the portcullis raised and set.
27.Lugan’s quarters, also houses the human mercenaries with space room for more... The capstan to raise the portcullis is in this area.
28.both these false doors activate the portcullis, could be used to trap enemy from retreat.
29.Storage, also home to the remaining gnolls.
30.Underground pool.  Has a giant crawfish, Lolth knows why (or Zagyg more like)
31.Crypt and Ghouls
32.rear exit, leads to a concealed entrance. Currently two bugbears guard this area in concealed positions.  It is unlikely that the enemy know of it.
33.Lareths guard area, Lareth always has at least two humans and one bugbear guarding this area.
