Off to Nulb

The day dawn overcast and with a hint of rain. Possibly foreshadowing the next part of their expeditions.

One by one they came down to breakfast in varying degrees of wakefulness. Some had partied well while other perhaps not slept too well.  Gradually all assembled at their usual table. Somewhat to their surprise there was a new painting on the wall behind the table. The faces looked familiar and coming close they could see that passing resemblances to each of them had been incorporated into a barroom scene. Arek possibly the most realistic, looking grumpy and with a beer in hand (and beard).

Ostler hurried over to join them, and said "Best we could come up with I'm afraid. Perhaps one day we can get something a bit better?  Anyway the usual breakfasts?"
[Private to Gwythe: Whatever it was that Rannos dosed Gwythe with, it's certainly left a hell of a headache!]

Re: Off to Nulb

Grumbling every step of the way, Areak appeared in the common room, bleary eyes and possibly even more grumpy than when he'd gone to bed.
"Wha' ya put in' th' ale?" he accused Ostler, ignoring the painting (or just not noticing it in his current miserable state).
"Ya giv'n me a 'eadache wor' tha' a sledge t' th' 'ead!"
Which was very odd since the last time he'd been hung over was.....well, never!

Iviana gives Arek a sympathetic look.  "Are you sure it wasn't?" she asks, a hint of smile betraying the sympathy, as she comes into the room.  She pauses as the painting is pointed out, tilting her head a little to look at it.

"It's very good.  Who painted it?"

Kalador came down rubbing his head. He was a bit hungover, but he'd experienced worse in his time. Coming up to the table, he noticed the painting. Looking at it he remarked, "Nice painting. They got my skin color just about right." He chuckled and replied, "Yes the usual breakfast for me Ostler."

Coming inside from his morning's workout with his blade, Ronalt joined the table for breakfast, "Everyone slept well?"

Re: Off to Nulb

Gwythe walks into the room, looking rough as the others feel, pausing for a moment to look at them all, and then sitting down, glancing at the food and then looking around quickly.

He does not eat or drink but simply watches the others.

Tindoome was standing silently a but off to the side giving the odd painting a some what skeptical eye. She was thorn between tossing a fireball and being done with it or taking it as a symbol and smiling at it. But she was actually a shy girl so she just smiled slightly at Arek as Iviana teased him and walked to their table to have a bit of food before starting of on the new trip.

Re: Off to Nulb

Sitting at the table, Iviana gives Arek a long look over interlaced fingers.  "Normally, I give a lot of consideration to the possible meaning of dreams... but in this case, I think I'll make an exception," she decides.  "Gwythe?" she asks, seeing the young man.  "You look ready to get an early start.  It's better to have the fuel for it, though," she suggests.

A man suddenly approaches Arek. "Gribbon! Gribon Blackstone? How are you? Been a long time! How did that love philter work? You bought it to try on that gnome lass, Binny Crimthaw was her name, right?"

"Ooo tha' 'ell are you?" Arek responded even more gruffly than usual, annoyed he'd been interrupted at feeling miserable and even more that the odd man had gotten his name wrong.
