...a gelatinous cube! I'm sure that would do the trick.

That can be arranged!

Re: A reminder

Brother Yew:
I vote for pushing onwards. We don't need to rest yet. Lets explore some more of the corridors and doors on this level to see if there is another way out of this dungeon.

I concur. Sven's good to go, ready to roll. Strike while the iron is hot and all that. Kalador and the dogs'll need to show a bit of restraint, but we haven't really finished making an entrance on this level.

Re: A reminder

Hmm, there's really only one thing holding up moving forward - Kalador's acceptance or refusal of Sven's offer. Normally it wouldn't be a big thing, but as there's a good 4 steps (minimum) in armour class at stake, and the chance for combat in the near future can't be discounted....

Anyone (besides Sven) want to make the call for him? Anyone brave enough? :p

Re: A reminder

Which armour was that Kalador? Spiked or magic? I'd take the magic, but the spiked armour is also not without its uses.

Re: A reminder

Don't forget to update your character sheets accordingly! :D
FYI, the spikes on the armour don't really add anything in combat, but do make the wearer look much, much nastier!

Re: A reminder

There's no armour in the pile, it's Kalador's leather Arek was referring to.

I meant the pile of armour - I presumed it has been removed and dropped in a pile.

Can you post the map to the maps thread please? Helps me find it rather than searching through the thread.

Re: A reminder

Try the Game Map link at the top of the page. Link back to this game
Note there's two maps there so if you can't see this current level, use the drop down list and select the other (which is your previous level on which Thromel and Sven were found).

In reply to Diviac (msg # 945):

my character has never picked a lock in his life. Think of him more as a pretty average thug rather than a thief.

So, I guess that means Ronalt does as Sven suggested and together they take point at the northern door, and we are ready to go in?  :)

Ronalt de Gault:
With the door open, Ronalt saw the vast array of foes, Ogres and bugbears. The great axes would hurt should they hit and for a brief moment he questioned his keenness to get the door open.

But what's he actually intending to DO?

I was waiting to see if anyone was faster than Ronalt before using his sword on the nearest ogre actually.

Re: A reminder

This is why I ask for "intended" actions. With Ronalts base initiative roll of 7, modified by speed factor and anything else which may be relevant, somebody is almost certain to act before him.
If those actions render a slower characters intentions pointless or ineffective, I'll make the necessary and logical adjustments, or PM the player for update/clarification.

At the moment I'm thinking combat is unavoidable, but somebody might try something totally unexpected... :/
For example back in Nulb Arek was able to cast Enthral and hold off a mob of angry villagers while the remainder of the party made their escape. In this case a particularly highly charismatic character may try parleying, or a spell caster might pull out a scroll/wand/spell/rubber ducky and completely alter the whole dynamic.
Could be the PCs surrender (I've seen stranger things happen), or offer to join forces and CRUSH any enemies they may have.
