Re: OOC MK V

...I really hope XP isn't going to be divided by such a large number. We'll never level if that's the case.

In reply to Luthien (msg # 31):

Well, first you take a granite wall, then you take off your helmet and try "forcing" the granite out for the way as you run at it head first.    >:-D

Ypou only get xp for that if you are the gm, or if you persuade someone else to do it.

Re: OOC MK V

A post from Haldan and I think I've got enough to tie up this little combat in a neat bow.
Not really all that much going on anywhere else that requires combat rounds.

Re: OOC MK V

Hmm, disappointing, but I always expect to loose a few people here and there. Not to worry, I'll just add Haldan to the sacrificial meat shield NPC's soon to leave list and push on.

I'm always losing friends to that meat shield. I really should stop making friends of sacrificial lambs.

Wow, look at that! Total and unconditional surrender by the three survivors in the room. They even managed to drop their weapons before any of the PCs initiative (probably the only reason they're not red stains on the floor right now).

Re: OOC MK V

Just so you know, the party as a whole is currently 79 hp short of full health. Ronalt is the worst, with the Prince carrying significant wounds as well (he's the silent, stoic type).
There may be a potion or two in peoples equipment they may or may not know about.
There is only one Cure Light Wounds spell left, the Princes Lay on Hands ability, and the healing proficiencies of a couple of other characters (1-3 points healing IF the wound is treated within 1 round of the character being wounded, AND a skill check is passed).

So, while many in the party are only slightly or not wounded at all, can you risk moving onwards?
Is the exit as close as Iviana thinks it might be? [Private to Amathaon Chalkbreaker: Doubtful. Remember that "depth underground" check from a while back - you're a good 100 feet or more from the surface, easily room for at least one more level before seeing daylight, and who knows what buildings are up there?]

Re: OOC MK V

Obtaining the answer to that question is, of course, the main point of interrogating the prisoners. I hope they talk soon or Sven may be forced to leer menacingly at them again ... with intent this time.  ;o)

Re: OOC MK V

Oh: I have no idea how close it is :) but I doubt if it is more than a few hundred yards away. I think the problem is 'which way to go' and. 'What is in the way' rather than length of journey time

Personally I am fine with forting up and healing. We are quite a sizable army now :)

I'm all for securing the area and resting...but, is this the best room for that, or is there somewhere better suited, ie defense wise?

Re: OOC MK V

We look to Brother Yew who is our mapping expert!

Its pretty scary whatever we do. One wizard with a fireball and we are in a world of pain. This place was used as a 'fort' though, by a sizable number of people, so it should be 'OK' for the job.

I suspect we want to hear from the captives about the way out though!

Of course I could be wrong, and we are stuck in a Klein bottle or other demiplane...

Re: OOC MK V

One reason why the inhabitants just lost is they unbarred the door and let you in. Probably thought they could give you a good hiding, steal all your stuff and kick you back out.
Funny how things don't always work out....
