In reply to Corvus (msg # 68):

Again. This character was raised.

Then again it might turn out for the better. We shall see.

Right now it basically all hinges on the other PCs, especially Sir Luthien...

Two is a multiple, yes.

Re: OOC MK VI

Actually, you outrank him. By a significant amount too.
It's quite possible he'll end up under your command.

Corvus:
I believe we enjoy the protection from evil radiated by Sir Luthien? If not Corvus will cast his PfE spell on himself.

Once within ten feet, yes. That's the same distance Kalador is from him as shown on the map.

Well he'll cast it anyway and then charge in. No sense in taking (further) chances.

Re: OOC MK VI

Sir Luthien is level 1. You are presumably level more than that. So you outrank me. The only thing I have on you is being a full Paladin and the stats that go with it.

Re: OOC MK VI

In reply to Corvus (msg # 76):

That will take a full round and prevent him from even moving until the following round.
Also, as Corvus is approximately 35 feet away from the closest opponent, he'd have to carry out a "charge" action to attack in the same round as he moved (+2 to hit, one point penalty to AC or loss of Dex bonus whichever is worse).

Well hang casting the spell and lets go for the death/glory charge, with all the relevant pluses and minuses.

Wonnilon:
"You already searched it? Good, this place really does stink. Let's get out of here!"

Actually, you did about a hundred posts earlier.
Wonnilon:
Having found nothing dangerous so far, Wonnilon hooks out the vials, flasks and scroll case with his sword rather than reaching in to retrieve them with his hand. He passes them back down the line for the spellcasters to investigate them at their leisure.

Re: OOC MK VI

What Arek said for those who are interested.
quote:
"Clanggedin, I call upon your benevolence to heal this most unworthy halfbreed of a utterly hateful race."
Power filled Arek, surging though him with the force of an avalanche before trickling through his fingers. A slight odour of ozone could barely be detected as a few small sparks of electricity crossed over to Kalador.
"Oh come on!" Arek called to the ceiling in disgust.
"Is that it? Is that really all you're going to give? He fought, and nearly died to protect Amathaon and I, and you're just going to tickle him?"
Talking back to one's god didn't usually go down very well for most people, especially those of the priesthood. In this case though Areks admonishments seemed to have a positive effect as energy began flowing again to Kalador in a slightly greater amount than before.
"Now that's more like it!"

First spell was Cure Serious Wounds which healed almost the minimum possible. The second was Cure Light Wounds which actually had a greater effect than the first!

Re: OOC MK VI

Amathaon Chalkbreaker:
"What if we set a trap in the tunnel?" Amathaon whispered a suggestion.
"It was hit and wounded a few times wasn't it? Must be nearly spent."

What are the AD&D 1e rules on how to set a trap? Does a thief (or a number of thieves working together) use their Find/Remove Traps skill to do that?
