Re: Chapter 3: Grim News from Mosswood
Martak, that is correct--you can jump on a nearby item. Waiting for your proper turn.

Kelar, I marked the lever square on the map with an L. You have your own movement on your turn if you want to use it.

Wasn't sure if I could toss the weapon this turn as well.  Reading the rules, I understood it to say that drawing a weapon is a full turn action, unless I want to take a penalty, and I'm not up for penalties today...

Re: Chapter 3: Grim News from Mosswood
The fiendishly clever goblins turn--and leap on the wall! They start scaling a rack that stores glassware, which would doubtless be too heavy for the bigger party members to climb.

The dicebot is very, very generous to the goblins, it seems, tonight. The goblins are now 3" up on the wall dangling from racks.

Jereth and Cyrus are up! Be creative!

Re: Chapter 3: Grim News from Mosswood
Cyrus looked around the room for something that could help, but decided that the goblins were just too far out of reach. Seeing the goblins precariously perched on the racks, he smirked. "May you be blessed by the eel," he called out. Translucent green eels slithered off his arms and swamp to the goblins...

20:42, Today: Cyrus Weaver rolled 10,3 using 1d8,1d6, rerolling max with rolls of (8+2)10,3. Casting Lower Trait: Climbing. PP cost = 3, 8/15 PP

... and they swam around the goblin's hands and feet, making them slimy and slippery.

Re: Chapter 3: Grim News from Mosswood
Im assuming that Cyrus brilliant move worked. If not, tell me and I change it all!

Jareth was just wating with his sword in both hands as the goblins fell from the rack. With a smile e a swing he slashes the closest one, but it seems that the slippery skin made the gobling slide and accidentally avoid Jereth's attack

01:01, Today: Jereth rolled 1,4 using 1d10,1d6, rerolling max with rolls of 1,4. Attack!

Everyone gets a free Benny for Cyrus' clever use of his spell, and Jereth gets to use that Benny to re-roll the attack!

Re: Chapter 3: Grim News from Mosswood
Cyrus' ploy works beautifully--the now-slippery goblins plummet downward. Jereth chops one in half as he falls, while the other falls atop a nearby table cursing. As he does so, the bottom of the table catches on fire as molten glass fills the ground further.

Martak's table likewise is beginning to catch fire as the molten glass spreads, following Kelar and Jereth.

Then, suddenly, two arrows fly past Martak, lodging in the table near him. Martak spots a half-elf looking fearfully at him, who then races out the southern door of the building...

Okay, firstly: Jereth kills one of the two remaining goblins. The other is on the table near Jereth and Kelar.

Jereth and Kelar need to make Agility checks (TN4) to hop on a nearby table and avoid the spreading hot glass.

Martak, you have two rounds until your table is engulfed in flame.

Note the position of the half-elf on the map--he is fleeing.

Hywel and Jereth are up in the new round! The half-elf has already acted this round.

Re: Chapter 3: Grim News from Mosswood
As the wall of goblins comes tumbling down, Hywel nods grimly, "Well done, Cyrus!"  He drops a lead bullet into the pouch of his sling.  Loaded, the weapon is whirled up over his head.  His free hand points towards the remaining goblin as he takes his time on the shot...

Aim Action  (3/3 rnds of Armor used; next round goes to Maintenance)

Due to the strong blown in the goblin, Jereth had some difficult to regain his balance and could not avoid the hot glass.

16:14, Yesterday: Jereth rolled 2,1 using 1d6,1d6, rerolling max with rolls of 2,1. Agility check.

Jereth manages to hot-foot it out of the glass with only minor pain.

Only 6 damage, so you escape unscathed. Place yourself on a nearby table, Jereth, and take your turn.

Re: Chapter 3: Grim News from Mosswood
Does that skin decreased the damage?

Jereth steped at the melting glass for just a second, but it was enough for him to project himself to the other table. He was to far from the last goblin to do anything though. So he spotted the arrows in the table, not knowing where they came from since he was distracted in combat before "What are those?!"

Re: Chapter 3: Grim News from Mosswood
The last goblin falls from the wall upon the table next to Kelar. He scrambles up and tries to leap away, but falls screaming horribly into the molten glass. He burns with more shrieks.

With a satisfying thud, the door to the molten glass, stuck for a moment, drops shut, preventing further spread of the deadly liquid glass.

Cyrus, Kelar and Martak are up!

And at that Martak jumps towards the door he entered and sprints after the maniac who shot at them.  Yelling over his shoulder to the others, he says, "We've got someone who tried to shoot me, and it weren't no goblin! Find Miss Ameiko!"

Made an agility roll (hope it was right):  5
13:19, Today: Martak rolled 5,1 using d6,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 5,1. Jump from table to door and run after shooter.

"Really? Damn," Cyrus said. He was not one to go leaping over semi-molten glass. He would go back the way he came and loop around. "Anyone in need of healing?"

Re: Chapter 3: Grim News from Mosswood
Hywel lowered his sling, but kept it ready to hand, "Right.  Find Ameiko."  He began backing away with Cyrus, though he kept his eye focused on Jereth.  In his mage's eye he held tight to the strands of power binding him to the guardsman.  "Jereth lad, I'll hold the spell till you clear the glass whichever way you go.  But be quick!"

Re: Chapter 3: Grim News from Mosswood
Reminder that you are still in mortal danger because of the molten glass on the floor and several tables which are about to catch on fire, so I kind've need you to stay in initiative. Martek succeeds on his jump and can move mini as desired. Please let me know what you're doing in game terms as well, Cyrus and Kelar.

Kelar looks around to figure out what to do next

OOC: message 100 says that some tables are marble, and some are wood.  Which ones are we on?    The glass is no longer spreading (and I assume it's not outside of the room, despite the map)
how are the walls?  Are there tools on them?  leather aprons?  Anything useful?

Moved my mini - wanted him to run - so rolled a 2.  Am I correct in 1 square = 1" for pace purposes?

Gonna chase down dude who was shooting at me.  Not cool.

Excellent question! The marble tables are the really long ones to the northwest. The smaller ones to the southeast are the wooden ones.

The walls have a variety of items on them--if you want to do something, assume you can find it if it is something you'd find in a factory, particularly one with hot things in it.

Re: Chapter 3: Grim News from Mosswood
Kelar grabs some leather aprons and throws them onto the glass, trying to make a path heading north.  As they start to smoulder, he gives a quick prayer and runs along them to safetly

OOC: so I'm on a wooden one, gotcha.

11:07, Today: Kelar Bauerson rolled 4,5 using d8,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 4,5. agility, walking on, walking on molten glass.

Getting no reply from his comrades, Cyrus limped his way quickly the the single door at the far end of the room, behind him.

21:54, Today: Cyrus Weaver rolled 5 using 1d6, rerolling max with rolls of 5. Run.
