@ Brennan.  If you plan to jump out of the way as it charges, this would be a dodge action, targeting the Fist.  Cost of failure would be getting hit by the Fist, or falling off the ledge.

Brennan could also attempt to get down from the ledge to the campsite below.  Leaping would require no roll, would automatically succeed in getting down, and would at minimum break Brennan's legs.

Climbing down would be a Climb roll.  Success would get him down safely, failure would look a bit like jumping down.

my understanding would be closer to a few buses, I was able to get there in a single move on a horse and Zeke was able to arrive on scene quickly as well and this system is pretty crunchy in terms of movement.

Yes I do, but I want to climb the tree for two reasons

1) I want to hit him with my magic sword because I don't think the knife is going to do much.
2) I want to be out of the way of the fist of baal and while it can knock down a tree it will save me from likely being turned into spaghettios.  I feel good about my ability to jump to another tree if it comes to that.

Yes, you can climb a tree.  These are leafy and nice, very suitable for climbing.

Climbing a tree, however, is an action, so to climb and attack is a multi-action.

Also, I always thought of Titus as some kind of large cat...
