You could use Perform if you were trying to use masturbation to entertain people.

Why do you make me type these things?

Distract as in they would be paying attention to/yelling at/arresting the public masturbator?

Possibly

Fine then distract them your way ;).

Do you have any idea on how to draw their attention away, at which point I can try to scale the tower and batman in to save Ciryl.

In reply to Titus Blackwell (msg # 373):

Demons would be distracting.

I don't have any "safe" way to distract them that won't get me arrested or shot, or get the guards harmed.

Besides what's the endgame? A quick distraction does little good if you and Admiral Hobbles McGimp can't get anywhere useful afterward.

Re: OOC Discussion #4

In reply to Ciryl Fontaine (msg # 375):

The best thing I have at the moment and its totally metagamed out... is that I think Ciryl has information that we could use.  We each dealt wit the inquisitor individually; perhaps a show of force is in order, basically the type of 'if you want to leave this room you will deal with us' the fact there is no paladin is interesting and speaks to something going on with the inquisitor that we may be able to capitalize on.

I mean fact of the matter is he is not going away right?  Deus ex Jackina did not work.  So we have three choices

1 Murder him
2 strike a deal with him
3 give you over and have him leave

If we wanted to murder him then Brennan and Titus could do it quite nicely...

I don't mind if you come up with a plan that puts Titus in danger, exposes him as a demon cultist or whatever, but I just want to make sure we do it for a gain, unlike what we did here which was waste a day.

I'm open to other ideas.

Re: OOC Discussion #4

In reply to Titus Blackwell (msg # 376):

I don't know if he lacks a paladin because he's not legit or if something happened to the paladin on the road. This guy arrived more quickly than he was supposed to. He may have ridden his horse to death and then taken his paladins and ridden IT to death, too.

I don't really want to kill the guy, I want him to sort out the Jack situation for us so Brennan will feel better about going to LostHelm, which is his primary goal at the moment.

I also don't want to fight the town's guard, they should be focusing on the Jack problem too.

I do not understand why we are being treated as more of a threat than Jack, though.

Re: OOC Discussion #4

In reply to Brennan Otthild (msg # 377):

Thas what I'm saying if he rode his horse to death... then he's in a hurry if he's in a hurry that means theres something he needs quickly.  Perhaps we can offer something better or at least something similar.  However, he wouldn't talk to any of us one on one, hence why it is possible that swordpoint diplomacy is in order.

I also think its odd that he treats us as a greater threat than Jack and also found it odd that jack was merely 'put off' by the fact that inquisitor was here but showed neither urgency nor fear in dealing with him.

This is one of those situations where it would be easier to deal with in person but Ciryl I know you've held out of it but at this point we are metagaming and I would like to advance the plot I'm dying to know whats in losthelm.

They seem to specifically want me to stop mucking with things.

OR, and guys, this is an angle I haven't considered, but OR: maybe they want to take me to the citadel to give me a medal for being so brave and honorable by killing those witches.

It's probably that one.

Re: OOC Discussion #4

In reply to Brennan Otthild (msg # 379):

It's possible that this inquisitor is somehow on the outs, though not to the same extent as Brennan, and is just desperate to bring him back and get in good with the rest of the inquisition again.  Were something like that the case, he might be pliable to negotiation in a situation where he doesn't have direct power over us.

I think if the three of us can corner the inquisitor while it's dark enough out to get Jack involved we can get something to work for us.  I have no idea what the best way to get Ciryl out is, but I think the three of us need to regroup to make any progress that doesn't involve throwing ourselves to the whims of Jack and/or the inquisitor.

Re: OOC Discussion #4

In reply to Ciryl Fontaine (msg # 380):

So right now we have a brief tactical advantage.  We can either take advantage of my ability to stealth... or take advantage of my ability to anti-stealth.

If one of us leads the guards on a merry chase the other can break out Ciryl and we can meet at a safe location then confront the inquisitor in force.

There's something fishy about this guy and that is the only lead we have on him.  So far we have let him dictate.  Its our turn.
