I'm fine with not worrying about the minor details of supplies and equipment.

....but a spontaneous bow is a bit much   ;)

How high up/far away is the eye?  Can I catch it with a dagger?

Is there a mechanical flanking advantage?  Or is it just having to defend against two attackers simultaneously?

Re: OOC Discussion #4

In reply to Titus Blackwell (msg # 668):

The latter.

Defense actions, such as dodge/block/parry etc must designate a "target" i.e. WHO you are trying specifically to dodge/block/parry.

You would need to take multi-actions to choose two opponents to defend against

In reply to GM (msg # 670):

Unless Titus is about to pull a lance out of his arse, running for the horses is not my preferred use of our initiative round.

You're running away, aren't you?

DAMMIT YOU COWARD GET BACK HERE :P

@GM: The Name of the Wind was sufficient to buffet bats and crows and such. Would I reasonably assume it has the power to affect this large flying creature or would it just be a waste of time?

Also if we manage to get the Fist to hit the Eye somehow, can we get bonus points for telling the demons to stop hitting themselves? :D

Discretion is the better part of valor?

Although the creature is large, demonic, and likely very strong, it does have large wings and it would be reasonable to assume it is affected by wind.

Initiative to me? The Fist's whole turn was setting up another charge, and Merker's holding to determine if he whacks at Zeke?

In reply to Brennan Otthild (msg # 675):

Yes, initiative to Brennan.

Yes, big creature's turn was to retreat and turn around.  Likely because you all won and are out of danger...

Merker is technically using his action to defend, but correct, he has not yet determined where attack will come from: Zeke or the beast

Just so we're clear, neither of the things I can shoot are visible by the time my turn comes around?

Are "held actions" a thing in this system?

Re: OOC Discussion #4

In reply to Brennan Otthild (msg # 685):

Correct, nothing is visible at the moment

Yes, you can "hold" as long as you want.  The downside would be that you could be wasting actions if the thing you are waiting to interrupt doesn't happen before your next activation in order.

Some actions need a valid target.  For example, you cannot Aim as a hold until you have something to aim at, nor can you "defend" against something you cannot see.  You could certainly designate a doorway to "defend against whatever comes through" but that won't help against something that comes crashing through the window.

You can certainly do area attacks against areas where there MIGHT be an enemy.

Since Tiger King wasn't to people's liking, I had another idea for a fun one-shot

Something of a Pulp Horror thing.  Anyone in?  My idea would be 4 players I think.
