Well, you write in greater volume than many of us, but I in no way felt overshadowed.
I do tend to wax rather flowery, but that's not what I meant. I like to write as an outlet. But I don't want to come across as a spotlight hog. When I took over Albricht, I got the feeling that the previous player was portraying him as sort of a sidekick character, and I've tried to keep that going. I just don't want anyone to think I'm pushing him into the spotlight.

We've had a lot of that kick, kill, search, repeat. So it is nice to have some moments of roleplay, but two things I would say about that is that A. this is an OSR game and kick, kill, search, repeat is sort of the name of the game, and B. roleplay on this platform can get very heavy and slow games way down. One of the reasons this game has gone on so long, in my opinion, is because it's been light. Light in rules, light in plot, and light in roleplay. So while I don't want to see a total kick, kill, search, repeat cycle ad infinitum, I would like to make sure we're light enough that it's not slowing down the pace of the game.
As to your points:
1. As I recall, and again I'm Albricht 2.0, it was a sand storm that scattered the caravan we were guarding and we entered the pyramid to survive. Once there we began delving to search for food and water, and once we
stole ahem, acquired those from the Brothers of Gorm, we continued our delve in search for treasure.
2. It's a pyramid, pointy side up. It's inverted from the Cynodecian's perspective... the world narrows as one goes up from the city... The warrior babes of Madura tasked us to find a better way to the city, or to make the way to the city safer. My understanding was that the City was the destination, but now the Gormish Grand Poobah says there's catacombs below...! Yeah!
Albricht's personal motivation was to prove there's "water down there, whole lakes of it, this is not to be questioned." Not it doesn't need to be questioned. He's seen it with his own eyes (though maybe not both at precisely the same time...) His new personal motivation is to try and find a way to rid these people of the mind consuming mushrooms and return some sanity to this place.
In the background there seems to be a looming doom of Zargon, but we haven't really run into it yet. I reckon our characters are going to get high enough level (one of these years) that Zargon and his followers will take notice...
I'd like to visit the other two Temples (not Zargon though) and see what quests we can rustle up from them, and then go about them as we prep for somehow helping the Cynodelicians to get clean and sober...
If anyone has anything different from that, please speak up. Voran/Roak often is our leader in game, driving the party forward, and lighter is better in almost every situation, but this is how I understand the "plot" and what I, as a player, think whould be done about it.
