I think that was the original Elboc...? Although it's difficult to recall. This game's been running a long time. Who of you are still original players? I'm the second Albricht, and I believe we've had a few Vsaati's...

Aren't we about done with this level? The only thing I can think of is that room down in the southeast that was filled with clear jelly or some such... I recon we're ready to head down. The warrior women upstairs wanted us to establish a supply line from the underground city. Am I the only one who remembers that? My player memory ain't much better than my character memory though, so I could be wrong...

As far as I can recall, the only room you haven't entered, aside from the one with the jelly, is the one with the secret door that is just around the corner from the one you're in now.

Elboc should have all of the first level spells.  The Magi of Usamigaras gave one or two spells to each magic-user, and I recall the casters sharing spells from their books.  This should have resulted in each caster having all of the first level spells available.

Albricht has lots of spells available too, in case anyone has blank pages in their spellbooks... Here's one:



He's pretty guarded about this sort of magic, but for the right price, I'm sure he'd be willing to share some secrets...

I guess the full turn casting time is to make extra-sure of the result?  ;)

Keep the rain and wet on that side of the state please. ;-) The last time I was in Tillamook, I stopped at the factory and got some "squeaky cheese". I'm not sure if they do tours anymore or if they have their store, but it was fun back then. Hope you have a good trip!

Does Albricht notice any recognition between our "Doormen" and the room's inhabitants?

Squeaky cheese acquired.  The creamery is finishing construction on a huge new visitors' center, somewhat reminiscent of an Ikea.  I'm OK with having an Ikea of cheese within a handful of hours drive.  Tours are on hold until the new visitors' center is finished, but we had huge amounts of ice cream in flavors that we can't get up north, and some of the best grilled cheese sandwiches around, and then visited the Tillamook Country Smoker (no relation) factory outlet for delicious smoked meat products.  It was very good, and the wife and I got to spend much of the weekend with some of our closest friends.

I was waiting for them to tell us about a way to the city... We've got a lot of jingle to spend, and though water is always down, so are bigger baddies if this is like other adventures I've played in B/X... ;-P

I don't want to slow things down, this is getting interesting. Anyhow, Albricht is only 128 pts from Lvl 4... Those extra HP and Saving Throws would be rather helpful. ;-) Are we in a position to rest and level up yet?

You guys can back off and find a safe place to rest and level at pretty much any time.  I've got my wandering monster tables and some itchy dice...

Really, though, I kind of expected you to have done so already.  B/X modules get much tougher at around this point.
