Re: Chapter 001 - Pyramid Tier 1
"In that case, he is right this way," one of the men says. He then steps out of the door to the room that you first found them in, gestures to one of the others, and continues to the east. The other rises and follows him, beckoning to the group to follow. The men move to the "T" intersection, turn to the right (south), travel about 40', and stop in front of an open door on their right (west).
If you look to the left (north) at the "T" intersection, you see what appears to be a blank hallway that heads straight north for about 50' and ends in a blank wall.
One of the two (and you're not sure which) calls through the door, "It seems we have found some allies, and we're bringing them to Kanadius." At that, they both continue about another 10' forward to another open door on their right (west) and enter. The hallway continues for another 10 to 15', then dead-ends, with a gold statue of that same stern-faced, bearded man wielding a lightning bolt that you saw on the top of the step pyramid.
If you glance through the first door as you pass, you see three double bunk beds, with five men seated on the lower bunks, talking. They are dressed, armored, and masked identically to the four men you already met. The room is about 20' x 20' and has two doors - both closed - in the back of the room.
In the second room, also about 20' x 20', you see another three double bunk beds. There are two doors in the back of the room, one of which probably opens into the first room you just passed. In this room six men stand around talking and greeting the two who just entered, turning their heads toward the group as you enter. The wear, again, the same iron chain mail over blue tunics, along with golden masks depicting a long-haired, bearded man with a stern gaze.
One of the men is wearing a somewhat fancier helm above his mask, and he steps forward saying, "I am Kanadius and I thank you for your assistance with the giant lizard problem. I understand that some of you may be injured and require a place to rest, eat, drink, and recuperate. Please, come in and be welcome. We really don't get new faces that often and I am eager to hear of you and where you came from." So saying, he makes a gesture of welcome to the group, indicating that you may enter.
