I just think L5R is too fantasy for main stream television. GGRM even said he knew most people wouldn't like his book if he started it off with a lot of magic so he instead gradually introduced it.

Has anyone read The Hedge Knight, by R.R.Martin? Not a bad read.

 You know, I find it rather ironic, that less then two years ago, I knew nothing of Martin and his novels. On the advice of an old and dear friend, I started the first novel and almost put it down. I was like, really, kids and wolf cubs?? What's next, Barney the Dinosaur? But he convinced me to give it more of a read, and needless to say, I was hooked. Now I am a drooling Ice and Fire addict.

 I took a look at all the characters that signed up for this game. It is a shame so many stopped posting. Some of them are very interesting looking. Perhaps they shall return in time.

Working on my background and should get it to GMs Sunday (or Monday) because Sunday is my daughters birthday...so most of that day is busy busy...

Looking forward to getting into the action of the game.

It's tuff, - many are looking for fast free forum. I like free forum with posting for politics, and stuff but once players start taking actions especially against players I fell it gets sticky and your more keeping the peace to keep the game alive. I could be completely wrong but I have gotten completely lost in the free forum I've tried.

With a strict Play by Post it's just to slow, especially with 20 players, but I like and think nessecary to be fair.

So a few dropped out because of RL, some didn't like the style of the game, some felt they did get the attention. The attention is the big one, because they didn't grasp that the players drive the story I just guide them. That's my style so if they didn't post I saw it as they were just watching, they felt that I needed to give them something to react to. That's my guess for some, could be completely wrong but if they don't say why then I will never really know for sure.

I think you are doing pretty good. I feel like a cross of Tyrion and Catelyn. Trying to unravel mysteries while not a dwarf but a female limits certain aspects, but also I am the voice of reason and a protector for my family

I think you're doing great too - I love the feeling of Gabriel's place in the story. Very much an outsider trying to prove himself. :)

Well Mellib plays Pella and it seems she has logged into the game recently so maybe she still active, but just unable to post right now.

There 's actually a few that have not been around this week, it's mid July and August so I will blame it on the weather, ..... Maybe vacation time.

On Monday I will rmail players to check in on them and get a heads up on what's happening, ... Hopefully :)

Biggest difficulty is that I, for one, have no idea if when the plot stalls is because we are waiting on a missing player, or something else. Its not clear what is happening at any given time, specially when we have on the same thread several plots happening at the same time.
