Well just a quick FYI, I have place in the Player's Wanted thread that we are now accepting players for the Southern and Northern Campaigns. We will not be making new Player houses at this time new players are welcome to come from and existing cannon house or a Player house.

And we also recently added grimalin to our game which has a character concept this is almost ready.

NOTE new player please just keep in mind that we have a House Rule and ask not to be the head of a house (lord or heir) there is a reason for this that's part of the storyline.

A new IC will open soon and these players will be able to join IC at that time.

@ our new players.

Please look around and read up on the many threads of Info. Most of the information comes from asoiaf wiki or the game of thrones wiki. The rest it form several other wedsites and games. As GM my goal is to keep the story moving, keep players as bet as possible interested. I follow cannon, so just keep in mind that if cannon says a house becomes extinct, There is nothing you can do to stop it. But the doesn't mean you can't play it out. I picked this timeline because it had in my opinion the best of all worlds. Most of the huoses are around. There's no war yet but in a few year one starts up.  The Targaryens are on the Thorne opening that part of the game. And the NC are open for our use with little effect or worry about cannon.

Might I suggest Starting some plot related event to start turning the wheels and a explanation for each group(cause if we are in one place it convoluted) A initiating post from which each player could start from that point and push their story.

As noted in the intro. There is a royal wedding, tourney and feasting. The next IC will have a long intro it's all the highlights of the past 16 ICs. Which if your a reader is on the 2 or 3 page of our threads.

It was nice, temp around 80 and comfortable, night cold around 54. Perfect for me.

Went fishing, no tall tales...  Wife catch one I spent my time getting the girls rods up and running. Lol. But my 6 year had s blast. Went swimming in the lake. And in an indoor pool. And got my place ready for the winter. So all in all a good time. And if course my wife!s good cooking. :)

Best of all watched seasons one, two, and three of Games of Thrones. I only have dvds and blueray, no wifi or cable, .... so short of my phone line no contact unless I drive 20 mins to nearest store.

So I would like to start this IC with all the new players who are serving the Dorne houses in someway. You are one member of the 20 that have tracked the Fells and are camping outside Blackhaven. You should be doing your PCs intros, ... in IC and get to know the other PCs. Its open and you may post freely your interactions.

I hope to get to the Northern Campaign later tonight for those in both games.

OK - IC is open and rmails were sent asking players to come back (24 hr rule) and start posting. We should start seeing some posting and things picking up again. The game for new players is now officially closed. Those new players need to finish their set ups or will have to wait until the next IC (that can take months).

I have a couple of puzzling questions:

1) What is the difference between the two threads 'Chit Chat 3' and 'OOC: chit chat & in game chatter'?  Which one is appropriate for use in posting OOC comments and questions?

She is at the camp with Uk 'Hard Uk', Zekial Selmy, and if I'm not mistaken  Kosta 'Bones' plus other NCs that can along to protect you and the others.

The ship is north off the coast and anchored. Its not docked at a port. You left the ship when your heard they were going to go looking for members of the house due to their delay to report in.

God I hate September, it's always just a crazy month. So work for the last few days has been off the charts.

I'm in NYC and btw. the Pope visiting, The President visiting, and the UN in session I've been going crazy rescheduling and trying to get things done.

So its been very busy at work and with RL, I will be going away this weekend for some very needed R&R, I will be reading up and hope to be able to post on Monday.

Hi everyone, so as you all well know I have been missing. I have been trying to log on and when I can read some post but I have not had the time to post myself.

It's been very busy both at home and work. I do not plan to drop the game or end it. Just have not had the time like before and as much a I have tried I cant seem to get things to claim down yet at work which mean at home I have no energy left to really put anything good in a post.

I'm actually working now and just had to stop and get this up so everyone knows what's happening with me.

I'm going to try looking for more Co-GMs to help, I really need one for each game. at the very least to help handle some of the NCs and keep the players interested.

If any player wish to step to the plate and give it a try I will be glade to work with them.

Sorry for the lack of follow up, I'm gonna be out until the beginning of December.  My work fired a bunch of people and now I'm working a ton of overtime.  I will try to pop in when I can and get updates done.

Can we advance the Boneway group to get to the actual castle where the Lord is waiting for us?   I've been waiting for the better part of a month.  There's NOTHING going on right now that involves me or anyone interacting with me.  The others are involved in their own little world.

My most deepest apologies

Two months ago a family was very ill. We found out it was cancer. All was going well but things took turn for the worst. This is a dear and close relative and had touch my in a way that I did not expect it would.

To save you all from the details, I will simple say that I will return and it will take some time when I do to get back into the swing of things. I ask that you all push forward and don't let all this wonderful hard work go to waste.

I do miss it but just don't have the mental strength at this time to be my best at gaming.

Happy belated New Years to everyone. While we wait for this game to return I would like to point you to another fun ASOIAF game offsite. I play the young Lord of a house and there only one other PC so it rather lonely. There is all ready one pre made character for you to choose from which is my character's wife.(Don't everyone rush to fill that spot.) The house also has a Maester someone could take over or House Bartheld is well know for its hospitality so there would be a wide variety of characters to play. The game is currently 4 years before the Dance of Dragons and sides are already forming. House Bartheld is on the Green side. If you’re looking to join House Bartheld you don't have to be a Maester or my wife. I just brought them up because they are the only two named characters that haven't been taken. The only other named character is Davain's (my character) uncle who tried to take the lordship for himself. The player dropped a while ago (hence why I am the lord now), but you might be able to take him over if you interested.

House Bartheld is well known for wild parties and hosting a wide variety of colorful characters so there would be plenty of reasons for while a character of your making could be associated with House Bartheld. While Davain going to be more prudent than the past Lords, but his reign has been less than a year so things haven’t change drastically.

Of course you don't have to play for House Bartheld. I sure one of the many other Houses will take you in. I'm just advertising Bartheld because that’s the House I'm in.

PM with your character idea Mathys and we can find a way to fit you best into the game.

It could be a fun game and I have many character ideas, not all noble though, Small Folk offer playing options to after all.

Character creation thread says that there are a few slots open for unalign charcters so you might be able to convince the Gm to accept your charcter idea.

Hello everyone

So my deepest apologies for being away for so long. As some my have known I had a family member fighting cancer. it was a long and hard  struggle, but with the grace of god a true miracle they have made it through and for now even cancer free.

To think this person's heart stopped 8 times in one day, to be alive and living well, .... after these many months of fighting.

Im excited to say that I see more time freeing up to get back to my passion of roleplaying and will be rebooting this and the other games in the next few days/weeks. iIwill be cleaning up and editing some threads so the same players and their  characters  can return and begin posting.

I'm glad they are better but add a thanks to the skills and talents and capabilities of the medical doctors, specialists and advancements of modern medical science fighting cancer for such a success.

Alright, question for everyone.  I was part of a GoT post by post strategy game a long time ago.  It used a relative simple system.  The site has been sitting there, unused since the last season (5) wrapped up inconclusively due to player drop-out/burn-out.  I only played in 2 seasons.

I am looking to get it started up again, and I have at least one of the old mods on board, and looking to try and contact the others.  However, I am curious how many people would be interested in something like that?


The premise of the game, is you are a noble house.  You claim a town on the map (map varies.. last season it was just the north).  It is more a strategy game then a RP game, but RP plays a vital role in battles since stats are loose.

It seems kind of complicated I just enjoy role-playing and want to RP in the setting in this game or another one with a mature rating by another GM.

I can understand that.  Me and Direwolf are supposed to be going over some rule changes.  RP is always something I enjoyed in the game.  But it was a Stratagy first, RP second type of game.

I am here as well. Edric is my favorite character I have created so I would be hard pressed to give up on him.

Well, to be honest I was not sure what to expect. Happy that you guys and gals are still around, and even interested.

My deepest apologizes, never thought it was going to happen or take so long to clear up.

For those that did not know my father in law was fighting cancer and I had to step up for my wife and family.  I know I tried to come back a few times and each time I tried more would trip me up, from getting a new job, to new job change of management. Even PC crapping out, still need to replace that as well.

So all in all I don't want to promises anything but I would like to start chatting and starting small with some updating threads and PC sheets.

if interested let me know, or we can just chat about general ideas and the game in general.

Okay for my character she wants to bang hot gals and get her gold from home, when she can, to live on. Pretty simple desires she is a Small Folk not noble so her plans are proportional to her lowly station.

I never really got into this one. You can kill Altair off. The other two games I enjoyed. I am a Northern lad!

Hey guys, I'm in the process of joining the game, just wanted to introduce myself.

I think I'd very much like to keep Acired but maybe import her to a more cosmopolitan environment like King's Landing or perhaps Dorne.  Anywhere a girl of her family status and history might find interesting roleplay, or perhaps as a 'fish out of water' Velaryon situation where her tomboy tendencies must deal with stifling courtly life.

Not sure what you're going to do yet, so I am openly listening and waiting.

The third thread hasn't appeared back yet for me. It was based on Kings Landing. I think I would like to continue that one also. If I were to continue in this game, it would have to be a totally different character.

Well, while I like my character, and the RP I have done... I wasn't sure where my character was going in terms of the game.  He didn't interact to much with the others, because they were not essential to his goals, with the possible exception of Ashara.  He did want to court her, thinking it would be a benefit to his own house, giving him ties to a few and because she is a PC :)

But, with one of my merits being taken away for a while (yes, it seemed to have some plot attached, but never seemed to come up much), his brother maybe having to deal with assassins, and the vague clues.. I just wasn't sure where to really take it.

Honestly I think there were WAY TOO MANY houses and subgames.

Place people in ONE city, one tight set of locations, make them play together, and give them enough rope to hang themselves!  LOL!

I agree I plug into any game she has that kind of background, so one house and one city might be good.

I agree with Acirid also. I just couldn't get into the last round.

There are plenty of places like Old Town you could use other than King's landing which is kind of stench anyway. ^_^

Well, as we are all part of Dorne (or a good deal of us, anyway, I know there was a Reach house or two), Why not play there?  Originally, I thought it was going to be 1-2 houses... and everyone was going to play off those two.  When the game got started there was Ravenhowe, Kolwyn and my own... and I hadn't expected mine to come up much, seeing as I was a visiting noble looking for a wife.

Now, there are allot more then that (Not including the NPC houses, which added to the setting, like the Red Twins).  I don't mind it moving to a local, but there needs to be reason we stay together... I mean, I headed off because of a letter I got... but had I known that Kolwyn and Ravenhowe and everyone else were going to the exact same place, I would have hung out with them, and traveled with them.  But since Ravenhowe was going to investigate an ambush site, and Kolwyn wasn't going anywhere, I left to pursue my brothers letter.

It was only later that I ran into them near the town I was headed too, after nearly being killed.

Like I said, the RP I had been doing, I was enjoying quite a bit.  It was deep and moving and enjoyable, with moments of tense action, and subtle intrigue.  But, I think there was too much going on (which I can respect.. there are always plots going on against various people for various reasons), but for a post by post game, it doesn't lead to a very interactive story.

Well the group was to go to Kings landing, that was always going to be in the storyline so you will get what you are looking for. OR at least should be :)

That game will be the last i restart only because it a completely different storyline base on the same timeline. And that one will take a lot more thinking through since is all about the royal line and its un-written history.

I like were the conversation is going let try to pan out some of these idea and detail one by one.

If you have to place one thing on top what would that be and we can start there.

So about restarting, ...........

The first thing i think should happen is a double check on PCs sheets so we can fill in any missing information.

The a recap on PC history before IC and relationship they have with NPCs and fellow PCs.

Once we have this I can read up again and get myself re-familiar with who's who and work from there.

Post will not be as intense as before, it could get there as we get into the game, but I have limited time still. So posting rate will drop to about twice a week at the start and hopefully work its way back up to daily.

I have already said, Altair Fowler is dead. He did not get into this campaign. You did not need a scout. So if you need him outside the centre circle as a rogue he could leave the official court. He was trained as a rogue and could return. Otherwise he is dead.

So I am working with another GM, on RPOL and we just started talking about a CO-GM and bring all the material together and jump starting something new with the old stuff we already have.

The best part of this is that the game will have two GMs and fresh new and great ideas for story line material and game play.

All those interested stay active in this chat.

We will be editing and organizing for the up coming start of something that i hope will be great,

So whats happening right now is a joining of GMs for two games.

I am reading up on a very good sandbox game for GOT and that GM will be reading here
We will be trying to help each other's games.
Once we have a grasp on both games we will see what happens from there.

I have so much to read its going to take sometime for this to happen, so no rush and thank you everyone for coming back.

The focus was always the characters then the houses as they would be based on cannon.
So the History suffers little to no change to the books and or movies.
