Las Vegas, Nevada: Checking the other Range

Jonathan Pembersley, and Robert E. Lee Jessup smoke their cigarettes waiting to see who will join them.

The other range is only 500 some odd feet away and downhill......

[Private to Jonathan Pembersley: There is no movement at the other range ]

OOC: I am going to assume that your only taking the items on your person and not the backpack provided to you. If you want to leave anything with the MRAP please note as such on your equipment sheet.

It only takes a few minutes for Jon and Robert to get to the range. In fact looking back they can see that the cargo truck still hasn't left the MRAP.

The 'parking lot' such as it is only has five vehicles in it. All look to be in decent shape with nothing being a derelict. The range itself sounds and looks deserted. There are only two 'buildings'. One is obviously a storage shed and is off to the right. The other is a squat, brown building.

"Sounds like a plan."

Rob walks up to a pickup truck, out of habit as much as any other reason. Stopping about twenty feet away me crouches down to look under the vehicle and once satisfied there are no undead lurking he will try the doors. If they do not open he will bust the glass with the butt of his rifle. He will continue this pattern with all the vehicles J.P. Is not searching until finished or something interrupts the process. He will also make sure to try and find any spare keys hidden in the vehicles as well.

"Well shit man these are all a bust. Let's hit that shed next."

Rob walks holding his rifle in tight keeping a sharp eye all around. As he walks towards the shed he says,

"You know the best places to really find good stuff at this point is gonna be out in the country. Them folks know how to survive and their larders will be stocked but their damn zombies so they don't need any of it. That's if we're lucky because out there with all this bullshit going on there will be a lot of people getting killed by each other as much as zombies. The meth heads wont take long before they start preying on folk.  These undead are a bitch don't get me wrong but my shitsack of a father taught me that people are the real monsters and many of them don't need much discomfort before they go bad. It's all a battle for resources now Jon... it's gonna be a savage world."

Rob looks a little worried as he speaks but once he's done he kind of grins as if excited by the prospect of a savage world.

Tab opens the door all the way so Jon and Robert can enter. Jon moves to enter the shed first. From the doorway the first this he sees is a row of four women directly in front of him (they appear to be in their late teens or early twenties) tied up (and gagged) to a large wooden table that is in the middle of the shed. The four women look terrified, scared, and there is a puddle of liquid under each woman.

On top of the table is a pile of metal target racks and stacks of paper targets. Jon is unable to see what's on the other side of the table.

From the materials lying about the shed's purpose seems to be the storage of metal target racks of various shapes and sizes along with stacks of paper targets. There are two other tables in the shed which also have metal target racks propped up against them and stacks of paper targets on top of them.

More metal target racks hang from the shed's rafters.

Jon begins to walk into the shed and immediately stops before going through the doorway.

[Private to Jonathan Pembersley: You see a piece of taunt fishing line running across the open door way at chest height. If you hadn't seen it (good thing for that nat 20!) you would have set off some sort of makeshift alarm or booby trap.]

OOC: I have a game map up for group three.

Please let Jon post first. Once everyone has posted please wait for me to get another post up.

Rob kneels down into a defensive crouch. He reinforces to Tab where the tripwire is and then carefully moves under it. Once in the shed he will stay crouched and take up a partial cover defensive position behind the door. Raising his rifle he says to Tab,

"Maybe we ought to just cut one loose at first and see what the fuck is goin on. If the assholes who did this are in the range we could be in trouble."

TAB acknowledges that he sees the fish line trip wire, it was a great catch by the Brit.  TAB holds the door to the shack all the way open with his back to it in a crouched position.  Taking up more of a look out position.  TAB's vain attempt at trying to keep an eye out for anyone coming from behind or from above.  TAB couldn't see everything that was going on inside due to his eye's not adjusting to the dark environment by staying outside.  But he heard what Robert said and agreed it was not a bad idea.

"Robert keep your hands clear of their mouths though, they might have been bit or something.  Better yet leave the gag on and just get them to nod yes or shake there head for no."

TAB spoke in a audible but hushed tone.

"Okay ladies please try to stay calm. I'm gonna start by removing the gag from one of you and you can tell us what is going on. After that we can all get the hell out of here."

Rob chooses the woman who appears the most composed given their current predicament. He draws his bayonet from the sheath and moves to carefully cut the gag off.

Jon covers Rob as he leans down to cut the gag off one of the women. Before Rob can begin cutting the gag away a voice from the far right side of the shed speaks out: "A military man wouldn't have come in here after seeing my trip wire."

Three men then appear out from behind various places of cover within the shed.

One man peeks up from behind the wooden table the women are tied up to pointing a double barreled shotgun at Jon. The two men are less then five feet from each other and are pointing guns at each other's faces.

From the far right corner a man peeks out behind a stack of paper targets aiming an Uzi at Rob, Jon and the four tied up women.

From the far side of the far right table in the shed a man leans out (probably the one who spoke) aiming a military grade assault rifle that looks like its fully decked out like the soldiers had on the Air Force Base. The laser from the assault rifle sweeps across both Rob and Jon. This same man speaks again. "Put your guns down on the ground, no one needs to die here today."

OOC: If you want to start shooting please post a full melee's worth of actions in your next post.

[Private to Robert E. Lee Jessup: It will take you one action to get a gun trained on one of the bad guys.]

Rob freezes as he starts to reach towards his bayonet. His heart feels like it is about to pound through his chest. He closes his eyes only for a moment, long enough to take in a big deep breath, but it seems like much longer in his head. Everyone has heard of the whole life flashing before your eyes bullshit but for Rob its more like a couple of the "Greatest Hits" and they provide no comfort. Exhaling he opens his eyes and he is visibly calm. He speaks looking directly at the man with the tricked out AR, his voice is steady and lacks emotion. His facial expression is even close to lifeless looking. Rob is young and ignorant but he is not stupid. He can see these men have the proverbial "drop" on them.

"Ya'll can go ahead and put me outta my fuckin misery. Im from Texas and we don't give up our guns."

Provided the shooting doesn't immediately start Rob without changing stance, tonal quality or expression continues.

"I've had a couple 1st place finishes in three gun competition so the way I see this going down is if you dont put one through my brain with your first shot I will get ya. Shakey over there with the Jew gun will hose me and these bitches down. Jon and the farmer with the scattergun will probably kill each other and our buddy by the door will run off and im not sure why he ain't already."

Once again Rob pauses and if no one is yet shooting he will continue. This time with a little grit is his voice. Which is probably far less intimidating then his monotone sociopath voice.

"We was just lookin for supplies. I don't give a shit about ya'll or your little fuck-buddies here. My pops was on death row in Livingston for human traficking when all this went down so beleive me ive seen worse and couldn't care less. Im gonna back out of here, duck under your little booby trap and scoot. Or you can fuckin commence to shootin!"

Rob shows teeth in a rictus grin his whole body tenses in anticiaption of whats to come.

"OOC: If they let him go great if not Robs plan, if he doesnt die immediately, is to dive to the left firing wildly in the direction of the guy with the AR. Once on the ground he will roll and continue firing as fast as his finger will pull the trigger until he is dead or the mag is empty. He will enact his suicidal plan if at any point in the conversation things go south. I included two dodges and five shots to represent my full range of attacks using the house rules for firing wild.

Las Vegas, Nevada: Checking the other Range

Rob is allowed to speak his peace of mind, but as soon as he backs up and tries to leave the shooting begins.....

Jon and the guy with the double barreled shotgun shoot each other simultaneously.  While the guy with the shot gun crumples to the ground, Jon is sent flying back four feet from the kinetic force of a pair of 12 gauge buck shot shells being fired into his upper body.

As Jon flies back he triggers the tripwire he and Rob had ducked under. The booby trap is an axe comes swinging down to hit a person at head level. But no person is there so the axe just swings back and forth. Jon lands on the ground and lies halfway outside the shed's doorway. Lying on the ground stunned for several seconds Jon's mind tries to register what just happened......

TAB armed with only a machete and bayonet moves away from the door as the shooting starts. Jon lands practically where TAB just was.  Not wanting to rush into the shed into a hail of gunfire TAB just hunkers down and waits.

Rob tries to avoid getting shot by the first shot fired but is stuck in the right side of his chest. The rifle round impact throws off Rob's aim and he puts a three round burst into the ceiling of the shed. The impact from the rifle round is such that Rob doesn't even feel the single bullet fired from the Uzi that hits him as well.

As Rob rolls towards the door and partial cover he's hits a second time by the guy firing the assault rifle, this time the bullet hit him in his back SAPI plate. But Rob does avoid taking a burst of fire from the guy with the Uzi. Unfortunately the burst from the Uzi hits one of the tied up women who spasms and kicks for a few seconds before going limp. Rob's second three round burst with his M16A2 hits the guy with the assault rifle center mass. The guy with the rifle lets out a shortened yell as he is slammed into the side of the shed.

With both Rob and the Uzi guy in partial cover consisting of stacks of paper targets, the two both fire at each other and miss. They then fire at each other again and hit each other. The guy with the Uzi takes three 5.56mm rifle rounds to the face which essentially disintegrates his head and skull. Rob on the other hand gets hit by a burst of 9mm slugs along his left side. The impacts knocks Rob on his back. The one bullet that his his helmet stuns him for a few seconds.

As Rob lies on the ground, he vaguely sees the guy with the shotgun get up from behind the table. As the guy with the shotgun moves to the side of the table he raises the shotgun at Rob's head one handed, with his left arm just kinda hangs down at his side.....

Jon comes out of his daze and sees the guy with the double barreled shotgun raising it at Rob. Jon in turn raises his right hand, still grasping the M92F Berretta and shots the guy with the shotgun in the head.

Las Vegas, Nevada: Checking the other Range

After Jon's last shot and the firing seems to have stopped, TAB sheaths both weapons, taking hold of Jon and hauling away from the line of the door.  Looking over Jon for wounds, TAB finds the left forearm gunshot wound.  TAB removes his first aid kit from his molly webbing and proceeds to Jon's wounds. Talking in clear voice but not yelling TAB starts talking to Jon and Rob.

"Rob talk to me man how are you in there?"

Switching to Jon

"Hey man, looks like you got off lucky you have one wound to your arm here.  I will do my best to patch yeah up but I am not making any promises, this will most likely be temp till Laney can help out."

As TAB is dressing Jon's he keeps an eye out for movement or noises of anyone approaching.

Las Vegas, Nevada: Checking the other Range

Rob rolls up onto his hands and knees struggling to draw breathe. Coughing and sputtering he croaks out first softly then loud enough to be heard.

"I ain't dead... fuck me."

Rob stands on unsteady legs, pulls out his bayonet and stumbles towards the captive women doing his best to avoid looking at the dead one. He falls to his knees by the first one and begins cutting them free. Provided none of them do anything hysterical involving him he will move around to check on the assholes who just played out the shootout at the O.K. Corral with them to ensure they are deceased. Any of them that have intact heads he will forcefully stab the bayonet throught their eyeball into their brain and give it a twist for good measure. He slings his M-16 and picks up the tricked out A.R. and any mags the guy has on him. He stands staring at the carnage around him trying to register it. Trying to feel disgusted or amazed or something like your supposed to at times like this.

Unable to feel much past the throbbing pain in his arm he will exit the building squinting against the glare. Seeing Jon and Tab both alive he does manage to exhale a breathe of relief he didn't realize he had been holding. He sets the military issued rifle next to Tab and then sits down hard.

"Trade ya a rifle for some first aid. I got hit in the arm. Besides that hammer is pretty scary but next time we breach a building ya might wanna be on equal footing."

In reply to Robert E. Lee Jessup (msg # 37):

Wrapping up with Jon, TAB switch's over to Robs left side wound and does the best that he can remember from his first aid training as TAB complete's Rob's dressing on his arm he realizes that he really blew it on Jonathan's he would have to go back and make it right.  TAB glanced at the rifle while he was dressing the wound, he wasn't over all incredibly proficient with weapons, but a life on a ranch had taught him the safe handling of fire arms, the loading unloading and every once in awhile he could hit something.

"Hey Jonathan, I wanna another look at that dressing, it looks like it could be a little better."

Once done with Jonathan it looked even worse then before, TAB knew the bleeding was stopped but Laney or the other one really needed to look at.  TAB also knew that this was probably the beginning of a long line wound dressing.

TAB addresses both Rob and Jonathan

"Well other then a small fire fight looks like we can check out the building for anything of value.  And might as well grab that ax for just in case we need to chop something down and I appreciate the fire arm. How about you give me your's and you can have the fancy one, might be better in your hands or we can worry about it later.  Once I am done with your wounds how about we take a quick look again and then boogie back to Joint"

Rob grunts as he stands up and takes in a deep breath grimacing slightly. He hands Tab the Air Force issued rifle keeping the tricked out one for himself. He will visually inspect it and give it a quick once over before following back into the shed.

"Sounds good. Thanks for wrapping me up. I feel like someone kicked my ass good. And I've caught my share of beatings."

Rob will do a more thorough inspection of the shed and the guys body he got the rifle from now that he is not actively bleeding. He will also be more wary of booby traps.

Las Vegas, Nevada: Checking the other Range

TAB bandages up Jon's arm wound, at this point the dressing is just to stop the bleeding, not to remove the buckshot in his arms. Looking around he sees the MRAP approaching, driving 'cross country' (i.e. no driving on a road) to quickly arrive.

Rob cuts loose one of the women. The woman in turn begins to release the bindings on the other two surviving women. All three appear to have been struck several times in the face. Who knows what other injuries or assaults they had been subjected to.

Getting the hint that the women want to tend to each other, Rob checks out the dead bodies of the three dead assholes. Apparently an avid fan of the cult hit TV show 'The Walking Dead' Rob bayonets the heads of the asshole who had the double barreled shotgun and the asshole with the M-4 assault rifle.

Picking up the M-4, Rob sees that it has a laser, ACOG scope/sight, and an under barrel M-203 grenade launcher. Checking out the body of the weapons previous owner, Rob finds a silencer, three 40mm grenades, and three magazines that seem heavy enough to be fully loaded.

Through all this Rob doesn't really use his left arm as much, and leaves trail of dripping blood where ever he goes. After he gets outside, and sits down. His left arm is covered in blood.

[Private to Robert E. Lee Jessup: You lose 4 hit points from blood lose as you do the above.]

TAB bandages up Rob's gunshot wound on his left arm, and stops the bleeding. He then fixes up Jon's bandage as it was apparent that they hadn't completly stopped the flow of bleeding.

Jon goes to retrieve the weapons from the other two dead assholes only to find that they've been picked up by the older two of the three surviving women. The third 'woman' is really a teenage girl.

The MRAP with Joint and Luke then pulls up to the shed.

"Just some guys. Sorry that gal there got shot but y'all are free, ya got some guns maybe you should scram."

Rob exits the storage building and will start walking towards the other building but stops long enough to try and wave to whoever is hard charging in the MRAP but he did so with his left arm and that causes a jolt of pain so he just turns and continues walking. He begins to inspect the exterior trying to be more careful than last time so he looks for windows, other exits, roof access etc. He will not attempt to enter the range until the others get there and they have a plan.

In reply to Darkside Trooper (msg # 41):

TAB organizes his first aid kit and makes a note that they had better grab more of them.  Everyone should probably carry an over stuffed first aid kit even with people not knowing how to use it.  Hearing the MRAP coming up TAB stands up and turns to the ladies.  Rob had the right approach, little information about themselves, but sending them on their own was not a good idea.

"Listen we were just passing through and we caught a radio signal from one of the other ranges asking for help so we were sweeping the area.  Our ride is here so we are gonna be on our way, but I will open an invitation as I think our de facto leader would be pissed if we didn't.  Hop in with us, we will treat your wounds and if you wanna stay or go is up to you.  Your gear is your gear and if we can spare some food we will.  I would recommend coming with us, due to the fact that just over past that water tower at the other range is a mob of dead.  If those guys had a truck we would like to know as my other associate said, information is valuable but more valuable is cooperation. "

With that TAB slowly walks and grabs the ax and then proceeds back towards the MRAP. His body language indicating that no harm is intended.  He would leave them up to their choice, seeing as only minutes ago they clearly were not being given that.

Luke moves from the turret down to the front passenger seat of the MRAP.

Rob checks over the machine gun to fond that Luke hadn't fucked anything up.

The three rescued women follow TAB to the back of the MRAP. They don't seem happy about not being able to bury the dead woman, but don't make any more fuss over it.

Joint looks back as everyone climbs into the back of the MRAP. Once the rear hatch is shut he pushes down on the gas pedal. He again drives off road, this time tho going uphill and then past where they had parked for the night. Pulling up in front of the water tower Joint, Luke and Rob are able to see what is going on.

Only one of the two buildings still have people on the roof. The back of the military cargo truck is about 50 feet the front of this building. It is completely surrounded by a horde of Zombies. The back of the truck has about ten people in the back of it fighting off Zombies trying to climb in. Three of the people in the back of the truck are among those that went with Laney as apparent by the military armor they have on. Another person in military armor is standing from the cab of the truck.

The truck begins to move forward and runs over some of the Zombies in front of it...

Know doubt the reason her head is bald is her man ran out of hair to drag her dumb ass around and that is why no one can stop her from doing dumb shit.  Now TAB I thought was a smart kid but nope, kid thinks he is some kinda Luke Skywalker or some fuckin spartan.  I didn't see any of them fast zed's they were talking about at the base when I was hoofin it to there to get my baby here.  But from the sounds of it they all ain't slow or dumb, one of those dead heads is going to do something that catches them all off guard and then they are gonna get shit on real quick.  We are gonna watch more of our own die if we don't start doing things real smooth like, we need a real good lead.  And I don't mean me man screw that crap and not that dumb bitch, we need someone with cool calculated head and no bullshit attitude.  We need a bike gang leader or some crazy shit like those Yakuza who don't dick around.  Until things settle down, that's when you need those lovey dove whack jobs."

Joint laced his fingers together and put them behind his head resting a min before the small hoard got to them.

"Hey Rob let me know when they get within seventy five yards or so and then we are outta here and apologies to you ladies in the back for the retardation of this group."

On the road again...

It doesn't take very long for those who wanted to move to another vehicle (Tab and Isabel) to do so.

Isabel gets in the back of the MRAP to see Jon sitting inside. Across from him are two women in their early 20's and a teenage girl. Jon's body armor looks like it took a shotgun blast at point blank range, and the three women look a little beat up and disheveled.

The Zombie horde continues to approach and get to be about 100 yards away....

Joint still had his hands clasped behind his head, when out of the corner of his eye he spots Laney  going all commando with her hand signals.  Casually and really relaxed Joint unfolds his hands. Pointing to her with is one hand and with his other hand points to his head and calls her crazy by doing the cuckoo sign.  And then flips her the bird and puts on a big smile.  He was tired of her shit and he hoped that non verbal might get across, if that didn't then as he drove the opposite direction to a less zombie mob location he hoped that would get the point across.

(OCC  When Arani goes back to the other range Joint is leaving with the injured, I am assuming we can keep short range contact.)

In reply to Joint (msg # 77):

J.P doubted that either of those two examples of "leaders" would do them any favors and would most likely get them killed. He shows his arm to Isabel once she is seated in the back of the APC and can have a look at it.

Either way now was not the time to get into it so he remains quiet while his arm is treated.

Turning back around Joint throws her in gear and rolls out keeping a eye out for a decent hold up spot.  He wasn't gonna abandon no one, but enough people had got in the shit since they left the base.

Robert gets a bunch of vacant looks in response to his question. It is then he realizes that no one from the group just rescued is in the back of the MRAP.

As Joint put the MRAP in gear and drives back to the other range Rob climbs back up the turret.

Joint, Rob and Luke all notice that the cargo truck follows for a bit  and then turns left and starts driving down a dry creek bed. Anybody int he back of the MRAP that looks out the small side windows can see this too.

The MRAP doesn't have any Zombies following it as it approaches the other range. Upon reaching the other range Joint stops in front of the same building the short gunfight had occurred in. A pair of dogs (domesticated breeds) come running out of the building, one with human entrails in it's mouth, the other with a human arm in it's mouth.....

The dogs run off to the west and disappear behind a stack of tires on the far end of the range.

Re: On the road again...

Rob climbs out of the turret to make room for Joint.

"Hey Doc go ahead and start on Jon first if ya don't mind. Luke come on up top here I am going to give you and Joint the rundown on this bitch."

Rob proceeds to do just that giving a brief overview of the how the machinegun operates and how to properly shoot it. Afterwards he leans in for privacy and says to Luke and Joint.

"I think im gonna go back in that shed and check those dead guys pockets. Not sure if anybody did that. I was too amped up on pain and adrenaline to think about it at the time. There are a couple of dirtbikes stashed around here and just being honest with ya'll if I hadn't gotten clipped in the wing I would be riding one of them bitches into the sunset already. I heard what you were saying back there Joint and it made a lot of fuckin sense to me. I did what my court appointed shrink said and tried to see things from your point of view and now I want you to try and see them from mine. I tried to do that with Laney but that bitch is crazy. Don't get me wrong the rest of ya ain't far off.

You chewed her ass and rightfully so for making stupid decisions and trying to play hero. But ya'll still think assaulting the Hoover Damn is a good idea. An unknown enemy entrenched in a fortified, easily defendable position that already took out a group of professional soldiers. Those motherfuckers are so comfy they are sending out shitheels like the guys we greased to gather up bitches to fuck. It's just not a good idea just like Laney playing hero right now is a bad idea. But because you gave your word or you got a hard on for the idea of honor, I mean its great you feel that way. But for me personally I gotta say fuck all that horse shit. Maybe that makes me a pussy or a coward but in this world I dont have to give a shit about that anymore. I've been surviving monsters my entire life but still having to try and survive in society. Now society is gone and I can focus on just surviving. The shit this group is doin ain't really my idea of an effective survival strategy.

I plan on heading out with that other group and figuring out how to exploit them for whatever I can and then move on. Once I get back to West Texas and my family place I will have a remote, defensible homestead with good hunting and spring fed stocked ponds. Even though the government auctioned off all our belongings the wind turbines and solar panels are part of the property so it is completely off grid. There are also weapons, ammo and supplies cached all over the property. So yeah I lied to the nice military man but im not getting my guts blown out for him. I'm going home. I just wanted to give you two a heads up because I know ya'll got some sense. I'll listen to whatever bitching and moaning the others feel up to but I ain't gonna let anyone stop me from leaving."

Joint listened quietly without interruption, only letting out a small chuckle when Rob called Laney  a crazy bitch.  Once Rob was done Joint leans back, a slightly contemplative look on his face, his hand coming up to scratch an itch on his cheek.

"Shit Rob, I get it man, we all can tell you have been in the shit before in whatever capacity and we don't need to know.  Your business is your business and how you wanna handle it is not up to us.  But like you said I am not to far off from being crazy myself, I gotta keep my word to the Major.

I tell you what though, you made some solid points there about the Dam and your right we would be walking into a slaughter house no doubt.  You come up with some kinda way to breach it safer then an open assault and keep yourself outta the plan and I will execute it and do what I promised and the others gave there word on.  Hell we all could bounce, out the Major even said as much that he half expected us to not do it.  Either way though you want out I won't stop you and I will make sure no one else stops you either.

So since you have that busted wing I will go with you and check out this little building and if we find these dirt bikes strap them to this MRAP.  Shit I will fix that bike up real nice for yeah."

"Sounds like the rescue is underway."

Rob pauses before going back in the shed. The chaotic scene from earlier plays out in his head and he suddenly doesn't really wanna see the dead men's faces again. If he were alone he would just blow it off but with Joint there he takes a steadying breath and enters the shed with his pistol out and ready just in case. He will more thoroughly search the men's bodies rifling through pockets etc. After that he will go to where the ladies mentioned the dirt bike would be and stage it to be ready to move if things go according to plan. By the sounds of gunfire in the distance that may not be the case.

Re: On the road again...

Rob doesn't find anything special on the dead guys other thne the fact that a pair of dogs (the ones that ran off) were apparent gnawing on them. The dude that almost had Rob with the shotgun is missing his left arm, and the dude that had the Uzi has had his guts ripped out. The shed is starting to smell bad.

As Rob checks the bodies he finds the following:
  • Dude missing arm: Reading glasses in hardened case, and single key on a key ring painted orange.
  • Uzi guy: A Strawberry Fanta soda can, and single key on a key ring painted yellow.
  • Dude who had the M-16: A set of keys that match the model/make of the blue truck outside.

Rob then walks behind the building to get a look at the aforementioned dirt bikes. Sure enough there are a pair of KTM 450 SX-F dirt bikes. One is orange (like the below picture), and the other is yellow (same as the bike pictured, but replace the orange with yellow).

Both bike are in pretty decent shape, and each a little under a half a tank of gas. The only thing missing are the ignition keys.

OOC: I gotta say holy shit when PB lists a real life dirt bike in the book! Stats are on page 124.

Re: On the road again...

"I just wanna get patched up. This whole place is a bust."

Rob seems almost indifferent to the pain in his arm as it is being treated. Only giving a slight grimace every so often and even that goes away when his eyes adopt a distant blank glare.

"This whole place is a bust! A motherfuckin bust! We gotta clear everything out, the guns, the product, all the equipment. Anything we can flip into green.  Those faggot ass commies think they can come at me with some hate crime bullshit. They think they can fuck me!"

Rob looked around the room and calculated his odds. There were three other members of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas present. Rob knew for sure two of them were killers including his father who was also an officer in the ABT. He was just a stupid sixteen year old but he figured if he could get the drop on them he could take two down before the shootout started. Honestly he was feeling a little suicidal anyway. His grandfathers entire Ranch and veterinary practice were all just auctioned off after he died owing a massive amount of back taxes. Now his psychopath father has just squandered his last chance of any inheritance by trying to play Scarface. His other grandfather built the home place back in the 70's and it was a preppers paradise. That was grandpas intent after returning from Vietnam.

"What about the kid?"

One of the brothers asked motioning to Rob sitting on the couch. Shawn was his name and Rob remembered he had been considerate of him in the past as well. His only swastika is easily coverable and no neck bolts. The guy is probably a narc Rob thinks when his dads reply breaks his line of thought.

"Fuck him he ain't my problem."

That decided it. Rob stood up and walked towards the bathroom and the .357 revolver he knew was stashed in there. That is when the flash bang went off.

Rob snaps out of it and looks down at his freshly wrapped arm. With a nod of thanks to Isabel he climbs back up onto the MRAP.
