Las Vegas, Nevada
With the outbreak of a super flu virus that quickly spread across the world within a week all international air travel has been suspended, leaving many tourists around the globe stranded. Most governments then placed a freeze on the prices of all goods and services, to include hotel fees. Many others announced programs to reimburse their citizens stuck abroad for the cost of food and housing during the crisis.
In the United States all interstate travel except the military, medical services, and truckers delivering food and other basic necessities have been halted. While no curfew has been put in place most people stay inside. They only go outside to get food or take a seriously ill friend or family member to the hospital.
After two weeks the 50% of the populous not stricken with the super fly are fed up with the restrictions in place. As the reports that people infected with the super flu begin to die the tweets, blogs, you tube videos, radio stations and news broadcasts reporting how unlawful the restrictions are turn to reporting the high number of deaths, and that many more are to occur.
Inside his room, Jonathan Pembersley hears a knock on his door. It's not loud and the female voice on the other side announces in a thick Hispanic accent: "Room Service." The voice is recognized as the one of the few maids still working, and who have also doubled up to deliver food from the hotel/casino's restaurant.
OOC: Jonathan you can choose the exact hotel/casino your staying in, but your on the 5th floor. Please also decide on the fates of your university buddies (are they all sick? are only a few sick? Some of them would be sick, but I leave it up to you to determine how many and thier names, and if they have goen to the hospital yet). Last decide on the meal you've received form room service.
ALL other players who can see this thread: I will get you into the thread as soon as you've finished your character.
