The Deathwalker (2) to the east of the downed warrior skewers Zaineb again doing heavy damage with the longspear. The Deathwalker by the disappearing man fires a bolt from his crossbow at Varlian but misses. The Deathwalker (3) north of Boddynock lands a blow and trips the spunky gnome.

Edgrin decides to remain at the conjunction of the halls to protect the party from a flank surprise attack while Tom makes for the Deathwalker that fired his crossbow at Varlian. Tom skewers the Deathwalker with his magical short sword, and in an instant the Deathwalker falls dead to the ground.

Everyone else can go again.

Not seeing Tom on the map - near the Dead DW 4, just need to know where he is as may affect CW1 movement.

Varlian says a quick prayer as he reaches out to Zaineb again.

ooc: Chronicler, sorry for my delay, but I couldn't figure out what was bothering me with the trip attack. At first I thought it was the missing AoO, but that is fine, AoOs don't provoke AoOs, however, you skipped the opposing strength check for a successful trip. Since this does make a significant difference, may I ask for one? Didn't roll well on my end, either, but I'm hoping.

"Ahhhh!"  The gnome exclaimed when he was hit from behind.  It was a strange sensation to lay down when you hadn't planned it.  He gave the friendly floor a kiss before turning his wand toward his attacker.  From his prone position, which lost some of the intimidation effect, "I know what your thinking.  Did he fire all his charges?  In all the excitement, I seem to have forgotten myself.  Do you feel lucky?"

Eh, he didn't want to wait for a response, there were friends in need and fired anyway.
