Visitor Information PLEASE READ PRIOR TO SUBMITTING RTJ

*
Greetings, and well met friend,

This is a Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 game room called A Dungeons & Dragons Gaming Community catering to all editions of the game. It is a being run under the mature games policy as set forth by Rpol.

PLEASE REVIEW ALL THE INFORMATION IN THIS POST PRIOR TO SUBMITTING YOUR RTJ.

ATTENTION! GM's WANTED:

It is planned that there will be multiple GM's to handle the workload for this game room. If you are interested in working with the main GM, The Chronicler, please send a private message requesting such interest.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The following is just a general overview of how things work in our game room.

The first thing to know about A Dungeons & Dragons Gaming Community, is that it is not just one game.  It is a collection of games run by several GM's.  Therefore when you submit your RTJ initially, you are submitting a request to join this game room.

Some of you may have seen an ad in the Players Wanted RPOL Forum and are coming here because of that specific ad.  If that is the case, please also indicate the game that you are interested in, as this helps us direct you to the appropriate GM for evaluation.

However, you may have come here through a general search and may not know which game you wish to join.  If that is the case, just let us know and we will help you.  One resource that may be of assistance is looking at the List of Active Adventures thread.

We also run some solo adventures, but this is at each GM's discretion.  If you are interested in a solo adventure please let us know.

In all cases if you have a question about something just ask us in your RTJ.

SUBMITTING YOUR RTJ

    1. Indicate your interest in joining the A Dungeons & Dragons Gaming Community game room.  Provide your name and that you understand that this game runs under RPOL's Mature game policy.

    2. If you know the game you are interested in joining, please tell us which game that is. Or advise us if you are interested in a solo adventure.

    3. Tell us a little about your gaming experience, in particular how familiar you are with D&D; or Pathfinder.

    4. If you have an idea of what kind of character you wish to play, then provide us a brief concept.  This should not be a collection of classes/PrCs, but something more general.

POSTING FREQUENCY

There is one rule that applies across the entire game room and that is the Posting Frequency.

Everyone is expected to make at least 1 post every 3 days.  If you fail to do so, you will receive an rMail from your GM with the expectation of a response in the time frame indicated in the rMail.  If you fail to respond then you will be removed from the game room, and any games you are in.  In order to rejoin, you will have to submit a new RTJ.

If you know you will be absent, please indicate this planned absence, please post your planned absence in the following thread.  DM & PLAYER -  AFK or Vacation Requests You can also send your GM a PM or rMail.

Communicating a planned absence, the fact that real life is kicking you in the teeth, or even if you have simply lost interest in the game, is a courtesy to your GM and other players, and only takes a minute.  We want to keep things moving along, so everyone can enjoy themselves, so please communicate, and we will work with you.

CHARACTER CREATION

Since this is actually a collection of games, the rules for each game may vary slightly.  You should check with your GM to insure you know and understand what the rules are for building your character.

That said there are a few rules that seem to be consistent across games.  Again, regardless of what is stated here your GM has the final say on what is or is not allowed.  The following represent some items that are common to most of the games, and some House Rules that Chronicler, as the game room owner, has put in place.

  • If playing a solo game with a second character, players cannot pool their characters gold.
  • No monster races.
  • A 10' pole weighs 2 lbs.
*We just believe that the PHB is a bit excessive on the weight of this item. There are many woods that are extremely light, strong, and durable.
  • Letters of credit will be honored anywhere and in any game.

NOTE: You are responsible for keeping an up to date character sheet. This sheet is to be provided to the GM before each gaming session. If you fail to write down an item you bought or found earlier in the game, then you do not have the item. If you sell items, trade items, etc… the GM needs a full accounting of the money gained, or items gained in a trade.

Thank you, and we hope you have a pleasurable gaming experience.
