I keep receiving PM's from Applicants asking if the Netherworld Plane Campaign is accepting players. The answer is yes, every Applicant has access to this campaign.

The thread is always open to any new players wanting to find a game to play in. Read the introduction threads which are the first 9 messages starting at Page 1 of the thread.

You can post in the game thread even if you don't have a character made yet. Post your OOC comments, or questions in the color orange, or PM me or insert a private line to me if you want to keep others from seeing them.

After you get an idea of how the setting is set up, you can make your 1st level character.

There are many options for adventures listed on the bulletin board. The innkeeper or bartender might have more information on these adventures. If you have an interest in forming a party for one of them, or even going it alone in a solo game just let me know.

Once you've made your character, you can start posting in the thread to find a group or start a solo game. Even if you don't want to play in a game yet, you can still roleplay in the inn. I envision the Wayfarer's Inn as not only the starting point for finding a game, but as a medieval in-character chat room of sorts.

Don't just sit on the sidelines waiting for something to happen, start making something happen by becoming active in the inn. It's as easy as that.

Here is a statement based on a PM I got regarding those who are already in the The Netherworld Plane Campaign, or are considering playing in it.

If you're already on an adventure, you can only have access to the The Netherworld Plane Campaign thread when you return to the Wayfarer Inn.

Everyone started this game in The Netherworld Plane Campaign, and can return to the Wayfarer Inn at any time as stated in the introduction to the game. You can have only one character in this game. If you want to set up a shop, you can do that when you return to the inn during downtime or any other time you decide to return to the inn. Your shop can even be run by another NPC hireling while you're away adventuring.

In this game, you have full control over what you do. If you don't like an adventure, such as the adventure your currently in, you can leave it at any time and return to the inn to find an adventure you might like better, set up a shop, or just take a break from adventuring to do some other downtime activity. You aren't confined or stuck with a group, or in doing something you might not want to do.

I have a hundred or more modules from 3.5 and a majority of the Pathfinder modules. You can just about bet I have any major module. If the bulletin board doesn't have an adventure to your liking, just let me know which adventure you'd like to try, and I'll set it up.

There shouldn't be a reason why we even have one Applicant with this kind of setup, and offering, but we do. My goal is to find people a game to play in, and I'm determined to thin out the Applicant ranks to where there isn't anyone being called an Applicant.

Looked into camouflage for armor and found a 300 gold costs to add a +2 circumstance bonus to hide checks but it was meant for armor not tower shields....

am I applicant 2?

Hello everybody,

just settling in, so if anyone is looking for another character to fill out their group, let me know :)

I spent the morning cleaning up our Private Line / Language Group Names section, and all of my players have had their languages updated. If you're unfamiliar with what this is, I will explain. If you can speak dwarven, and only want those who speak dwarven to understand what you are saying, and nobody else, you can use the "Private for Group" from the drop-down "Insert Private Line", select the language you want to speak in, and anyone not speaking the language will only see gibberish.

This is a very handy feature if you want to keep players or enemies from knowing what you're saying to another person.

I'd always wondered if the text for eg Dwarven could be decoded from the stuff posted. Never actually tried, but if its just substitution, a player could probably do it - if they had the time or inclination

I don't think they actually have an algorythm for it, it's easier to just use random characters, with the added benefit of it being impossible to reverse-engineer and 'ungarble' the output :)
