RULES--Character Generation

Use the following rules for generation your character:

Primarily I'm using Pathfinder rules as it is currently the 'standard' out there, but if you have something from D&D 3.5 that interests you, feel free to run it by me.

Characters are to be 10th level gestalt. Gestalt isn't really as difficult as it sounds. You get the abilities of both classes, but for Hit Die, BAB and Saving Throws, you only choose whichever class has the better one at each level.


ABILITY SCORES

Use the following values--18, 17, 16, 14, 12, 11--assigned them how you want. This is before racial adjustments and ability score increases from level.

Whenever you gain an ability score boost (4th level, 8th level, etc), two (instead of one) abilities go up by 1.


RACES

Only races appropriate to Middle Earth will be accepted. That includes: Men, Elves, Half-Elves, Dwarves, Hobbits (aka Halflings) and Gnomes. However, I'm still open to some variations, though.

It's not important that you know that much about Middle Earth, but presumably you are here because you like that setting.


CLASSES

Most classes will be accepted. The one exception is Gunslinger--absolutely no Gunslingers allowed!

Prestige classes MAY be taken simultaneously. But each side must meet prerequisites independently pertaining to class-derived requirements. Meaning, if you take Monk on side A, and Fighter on Side B. Your Drunken master MUST be on the Monk side, since you need flurry of blows and evasion. No class crunching! You can't take the same class or PrC on two sides to maximize your class choices. I'm already being generous.


SKILLS

Max skill ranks are increased by +1 at 5th level and +2 at 10th level.
At 7th level, gain one cross-class skill as a class skill.


TRAITS and FEATS

You can choose two traits, as well as a 3rd one if you take a corresponding drawback.

You gain one feat every level.


HIT POINTS

MAX HP at all levels.


BASE ATTACK BONUS (and other things)

Whenever calculating damage, always round up!

All other calculated values are rounded down.


STARTING MONEY
