What Are You Playing?

Are you playing any fate games right now?

What are you playing and what do you like/dislike about it?

What Are You Playing?

I've got two fate games going on rpol and one on Discord.

Fate Core Fantasy
A world where everybody can cast ritual magics.  A cataclysmic magical event generations ago introduced evocation (fast-casting) to a select few.  Two nations stuck in a cold-war style peace are likely going to go to war, while an ancient evil is resurfacing.

Current Story:
The twin 10-year old princes (of a crown republic) have been kidnapped.  The Queen is using the first active cell of her intelligence network to try to find them and deal with the people responsible.

System Add-Ons:
Fate Core with some add-on (rules for weapons & Armor, flashbacks, character-mantles, and a house magic-sysem.

Dresden Files Detroit
Backdrop:
Dresden Files (no canon characters involved).  What if "the Blight" actually meant more than just abandoned homes... what if there was an actual malevolent supernatural force behind it...

Current Story:
Something of great archeological significance was unearthed in the Salt Mines beneath Detroit.  Whatever it was, it was stolen, and now the people involved have disappeared.

System Add-Ons:
Dresden Files Accelerated with Weapons & Armor, Ammo Track, Clarification of Ritual costs

Not familiar with the Orpheus Group (beyond what the website tells me)...

What kind of adaptation is involved to make it work with Fate?

- The powers: for those that require a roll, I had to map to one of Fate Skills; also the number of successes (original system) were represented by margin of success (Fate)
- Also, no Fate Points; instead, Willpower points (as the original system has Willpower) that almost do not recharge
- Some small details regarding each Lament

Oh I'm soooo jealous! I've been obsessed with the idea of bringing a group to the end since I've read the last book; though, it's mostly at the thinking about stage.

I have a game now but it is in pause right now unfortunately... :-(

Dresden Files Baltimore
The Fomor are arrived into Baltimore and people started to disappear. The local criminals looks like somehow connected and an ancient artifact turned up which could be an important puzzle piece in some shady ritual to bring back an ancient creature...
It is based on Dresden Files Accelerated

We have just transitioned from book 2 to book 3 (The Pale Rider storyline). As we play live on a weekly basis, I intend to have the full story wrapping by the end of the year. Next year will be Legend of the Five Rings, but we will use D&D 5 for that, as the Fate adaptation didn’t work as well as I wanted (the Dungeon World adaptation worked better).
