did I and/or the Batallions make any headway dragging Gale out of countermeasures before shit met fan? I ask both Batallion and the GM

At what point does Xander's actions take place.  If he closes up the doors and frees up Percy then he would do something very different.

Yeah, that's a good point.

These commands are being given out at the speed of the computer, so would take effect as soon as Xander was made aware of the situation. Allowing time for the physical locks to engage and the door to close, I guess. But pretty damn near immediate.

Initiative order and all that. Percy holds the door this round and can be freed up next round.

Also, I was wrong about how the Cover action works. If you want to Cover someone against ranged weapons, just make an agility roll. If it's at least Green, you can jump in front of a shot aimed at them and take the hit. But that's all you get to do that round, is the downside.

I think all we did for "covering" with respect to Battalion was essentially make JJ an invalid target if there were enough warm bodies blocking view.

Well, let's change that to the above too, then. If anybody trying to cover you manages a green agility roll, they get shot instead. You have enough dupes that you should be fine :P
