I'm open to one or two more players, but I haven't approached anyone else yet. If you have suggestions, I'm open to them. Just make sure people understand it won't be a rapid-fire updating game.

Re: OOC Discussion

In reply to The Watcher (msg # 4):

Are we going to be using the "refresh Karma each mission" ruleset or the static Karma ruleset?

Re: OOC Discussion

In reply to Batallion (msg # 5):

Your karma is static. I will be providing you with karma bonuses after each episode. I assume you'll spend a chunk of it to upgrade yourselves almost immediately, but you'll want to keep enough in reserve to save yourself from dying by guaranteeing a good roll. Managing your karma is part of the fun of this system -- or it always has been for me.

If you feel strongly one way or the other, however, I'd be happy to consider doing it another way.

Re: OOC Discussion

The alternative being a karma pool that refreshes, and then generation points for 'leveling up?'

Re: OOC Discussion

In reply to Xander (msg # 7):

There are two systems we can use. Either

System 1: Karma is Experience

- No additional generation points
- Karma is earned to spend freely throughout the campaign can be banked to modify rolls
- Karma does not refresh

System 2: Karma and Experience

- Earn generation points at set intervals
- Karma refreshes to RIP max at set intervals

System 1 is similar to how this system is meant to be run, but I'm not married to it. System 2 is basically how Savage Worlds, D&D, and every other game works.

Re: OOC Discussion

I vote system 1, for no reason other than its an interesting change. Also not married to it, though.

I bought the ring, but haven't proposed yet.  Hoping to get that done and be married by fall.

In reply to Xander (msg # 11):

We're gonna go with System 1 for now. If it ends up sucking, it'll be easy enough to transition into System 2.

I think it's pretty cool how much personality differences we've each injected into a silly little holodeck fight.

Re: OOC Discussion

In reply to Xander (msg # 22):

Flux is way out of his element. He's not a single target brawler. In fact, I've designed him with a bit of Sazed in mind to be more of a battle shaman. He's about effecting the status of the battlefield, positively for his allies, negatively for his adversaries.

Facing a blue collar brawler is a tough fight for him. I'm hitting, but I can't get through his armor! I'm hoping the trachea shot will do some damage.

Aaron- I'm struggling from a PC perspective to differentiate between antigrav blast, and the spike up/spike down. Aren't they all functionally the same? Or no, because spike up/spike down doesn't do damage until it collides? I guess I can see that, where I could almost stasis bubble someone in mid air.

May have answered my own ?
