(Unrelated) Custom Campaign World Worldbuilding

Entry 1: http://foxfirestudios.net/main/?p=258

This isn't realted to any campaigns here, but whatever hashings I have with the campaigns will eventually go into a published document where I share a homemade campaign world where I'll eventually set all of my homemade adventures in.  (I start with a Forgotten Realms so I can kick some ideas around, knowing that I'll go on to my own campaign world later.)

I want to have some brainstorming time with various readers so that I can find out what parts work, what parts I can do without, and expecially what ideas you may have that can fit in well in this campaign world.  (Basically it's a Forgotten Realms like world, with Tesla-era inventions thrown in, with some other ideas I had in mind from other game designs.)  You can put your input here if you want, or you can send me a more private message if you so desire.

I'll give you credit for all the ideas and filler that you'll let me use.

Re: (Unrelated) Custom Campaign World Worldbuilding

Well, if you are smashing Eberron into Forgotten Realms, clearly you need to include the plains nomad Halflings riding Dinosaurs.  More civilized ones were also a thing (Had a character who worked for the Halfling house of professional healers).  But, you know, Halflings on Dinosaurs.

*Throws down pile of Talenta tribe weapons* let's see. We got a boomerang, a sword on a stick optimized for tiny people, and a sickle polearm optimized for tiny people.

These are admittedly 4th ed weapons and 4th ed numbers (on weapon proficiency bonuses aren't A Thing in 5th. Neither is superior, or high crit), but gotta start somewhere.

I am also running on ??? hours of sleep and my brain coherence is fading fast now that I am no longer driving people and making multiple "And to think I was here a half hour ago." trips.

Talenta boomerang: Superior one handed Ranged.
It's a boomerang.

1d4.  +2 Prof bonus (Average for 4th ed)
Light Thrown.  Light Blade.
Range 10/20 tiles (50/100 feet).
Returns on throw for proficient.

Talenta Tangat: Superior one handed Melee.
Curved sword on a stick, for tiny people.

1d8, +2 Prof bonus.
Heavy Blade.
High Crit (4th ed wise, that means "When you crit, roll 1/2/3 extra weapon Dice depending on if you are Heroic, Paragon, or Epic).
Versatile (While 1d10 one handed weapons were common in 4th ed, Versatile was merely +1 damage.)
"Small" property (no limitations for wielder being small).

Talenta Sharrash: Superior Two handed melee.
Sickle bladed polearm, for tiny people.

1d8, +3 Prof (Higher than average hit chance for 4th ed).
Heavy blade.  Polearm.
High crit.
"Small" property.

In reply to Tark (msg # 2):

Oh for heaven's sake, crash then.  You need your sanity sleep.  (I'm about to catch a couple hours myself)  I'll see to converting this to 5ed.

David Foxfire:
At this point, I might piss off some people by using Tropes.

Yup. I avoid TV Tropes because it is a black hole that sucks me in. If I so much as look up one trope, I'll be reading for hours. So I'm just going to completely ignore any references to tropes.

Which is fine. It just means I won't know what you're talking about any time you use trope lingo.

As for campaign setting being Forgotten Realms meets Eberron, that is cool. I've always been a fan of magitech personally.

As someone who is guilty of having Wiki Walks in that site, I won't blame you.  If you need help getting a trope explained, I'll do it on file, without the need for a link.

Re: (Unrelated) Custom Campaign World Worldbuilding

The second post is up on my site:  http://foxfirestudios.net/main/?p=277

I expanded some bits form the first brainstorm, responded on some input, and took the mind map into two sub maps to work with.
