Re: The Heads up thread

:) Sounds fun... though since we are 3rd level, even for pure RP, none of us could cast Flesh to Stone just yet. That's the main reason I mentioned to build for 3rd level anyhow, so we can all have a guide on what we are each capable of without spiraling out of balance from each other. :)

True, but the Witch has some neat tricks to play.

Either way, Jamie will have fun with Meiou.

Sorry for the silence! This week has been a bit busy, but I should be able to do something either Friday night or Saturday night.

Still haven't picked my GMPC and that introductions thread makes me wanna do so, so I can give a nice little intro. XD

Even though it is just a flavor thing that at best saves you a few minutes getting dressed, it still counts as a magic item. So for now, let's hold out until we know what everyone else has / wants.

Of course, you can take that instead of the boots if you like. :)

The only character sheet for Jamie I could find was in roll20 and there was no equipment listed on it. :\ Mind helping me out a bit?

Re: The Heads up thread

Got some Lv 3 Tark sheet listed finally, on the Character Description as usual.  Since it's RPOL, all anyone has to do is click on my name to be linked to it.

I think I'll take advantage of circumstances, and instead of a magic weapon (Which normally I'd be screwed without) I'll go with Boots of Striding and Springing. Mostly so I can have Tark not slower than the rest of the party, which applies even in noncombat roleplay.

I'll open up with the lighter note. Like Tam's player said, you get to be level Three! Instead of starting at level 1 like your linked sheet seems to be.

Could you do me a favor and pop that link in your character description, so players can ever see it without sifting through the heads up thread backlog? (This goes for whenever David gets around to mentioning their Character sheet location, as well).

That and say what you boots even do?  The sheet you linked just says a few item names.  Plus it still lists "Reequip bracelet" (but at least it's been stated in this thread what it does).

Re: The Heads up thread

silent step essentially is what boots of elven kind do.
ill go ahead and throw it up on char descrip.

everything on it is based on my 3rd level variant from the main campaign.
the bracelet is the only magical item i have on there currently. everything else is basic stuff.

Oh, sorry, I should've told you.

I keep all of my characters in an online One Note Document, Separated by Character.

Jamie Wintertouch (Note to self, edit her entry in the forum) has two character sheets in her section, the one marked PBP is the version I'm using here.

Re: The Heads up thread

I can tell you still have some things to mess with in your sheet such as her skills and saves being +6 when her int is only 14, the fact she has more than one magic item (Ring of Protection +2 and Broom of Flying. Don't worry, I read your comment about bag of holding and that's fine, I can give that to everyone), and the fact you have a little note to the side to remind you to fix the race entry. XD But until I decide to do any combat, there isn't any hurry. Just get to it when you can.

Though I am real curious why you moved where your one-note stuff was. Part of my not being able to find Jamie was that I tried the old one-note link and got "This location no longer exists" O.o

In reply to Zerry (msg # 50):

I made the needed modifications.  Thanks for letting me know what needs fixing.

On the record: more often than not I use the games I'm a PC on to playtest character options I either find or design on my own.  I do what I can to keep things balanced, of course.  You won't see Jamie pulling off Mercy-style mass resurrections-slash-reanimations at level 3, for example.

Re: The Heads up thread

Thanks for popping the link in your Character Description, Meiou. Much appreciated.

A friend reminded me that I don't take a move penalty since I meet the STR requirements of my armor, duuur. So swapping out for a simple yet practical +1 magic weapon I've cleared with Tam/Zerry.

Silvered Spike Maul +1: A +1 Silvered Maul, with a Silvered spike through it. So it may deal either Blunt, or Pierce damage.

Tark is convinced the reason nobody will bless this for him, is because it's not a blinged out platinum sword (hmm, maybe if he glues a bunch of rubies to it? He hears that's popular with Bahamut)

Yeah, while this seems to be a more laid back traditional capability thread, I can understand wanting to test drive stuff.

Playtesting is always important, theory craft alone won't give you a full idea of it something turns out as balanced as you hoped it would be after all. (I totally agree with QoL stuff like 'Look, magical storage is basically a given past level 1 so you don't have to count every individual ounce of torches and rations')

Though Tam's player can vouch for my bizarre luck with what players and GMs of games I've been in considered Fair Vs Broken, in both vanilla and custom rules mindsets.

"Yes please" to side RP.

"No thanks" to the Three's Company angle. Pan probably would not live under the same roof as anyone but family anyway. :)

Besides... I would like whoever wants to join in RP to be able to join anyway. I do miss Pan a little and RPing her in a town setting sounds good. We still need to establish how Pan and whoever else are helping the town get back on its feet anyway.

No problem, I can adjust this appropriately.
