Leader 5 dam blind
sword1 0 dam
sword2 7 dam blind
bow1 0 dam blind
bow2 0 dam dropped bow/sword
bow3 0 dam blind
bow4 0 dam blind
Bobble
Conan
Conover
Mahkoto
Conan waits for Bobble to take a shot before he acts. Bobble makes all kinds of noise while trying to move silently, but apparently most of the hobgoblins are paying attention to the big halforc with the big falchion. Only Sword1 notices you, Bobble hits with a sneak attack for 5 dam. Conan charges the leader, but misses. Conover does hit for 7 dam. Makoto moves around the front of her horse, try to get to cover as she casts a spell. A cloud of golden particles appears and covers all 4 archers, the leader and sword2. Everything in the area is covered in the sparkling golden particles, and it can even get in their eyes. Only Bow2 manages to avoid going blind, the rest are rapidly blinking trying to see again.
The leader says "
Kill the men and dogs, capture the girl" as he steps back 5' and casts a spell with no obvious effects. All the archers shoot at Bobble, they all miss. Bow2 drops his bow and moves in front of his leader while drawing his sword. Sword2 misses Conover. Sword1 moves forward 5' and misses Conan. The sound of horses moving through the woods gets closer. None of the blinded hobgoblins manages to blink the dust out of their eyes, so they are still blind.
Your turn.
quote:
Blinded: The creature cannot see. It takes a –2 penalty to Armor Class, loses its Dexterity bonus to AC (if any), and takes a –4 penalty on most Strength- and Dexterity-based skill checks and on opposed Perception skill checks. All checks and activities that rely on vision (such as reading and Perception checks based on sight) automatically fail. All opponents are considered to have total concealment (50% miss chance) against the blinded character. Blind creatures must make a DC 10 Acrobatics skill check to move faster than half speed. Creatures that fail this check fall prone. Characters who remain blinded for a long time grow accustomed to these drawbacks and can overcome some of them.
quote:
Glitterdust;
Each round at the end of their turn blinded creatures may attempt new saving throws to end the blindness effect. DC 16 will. 3 rounds= 000
