OOC: Chapter 4 - Dying Forever

Okay, I'm a bit unclear here.  CW4 is all entangled in the vines and whatnot and surrounded by Klale behind and Toben in front.  He appears too weak at the moment to do much, though he is regenerating.

CW2 is dead by Kornari and CW3 is gone, fled into the trees to the west.

CW1 is down  and unmoving.

Which one is Phin trussing up?  CW1, CW2, or CW4?

My bet is on CW4. Although Toben hasn't explicitly dismissed the entangle yet, he could call it off if he see Phin run into it.

Sorry, yes, CW4 is who I had in mind.

Is the man that was stabbed with the fang still alive?  If so we might want to tie him up as well, if it's just paralysis no telling how long it might last.

His breathing is inordinately slow, but he is still alive.  Just paralyzed.

Apologies for being gone. I take it that we have two prisoners and one dead. But that's only three. How am I off?

One escaped into some trees off to the west (Mirkwood), which y'all are skirting now as you head north following the group of cannibals.

A common problem: What to do with prisoners. In genera, unless they can be escorted to proper authority, I vote for killing them unless they're useful and can be rendered harmless.

I don't know how long it lasts but I could try the fang again to paralyze him.

Well, my sureness is, perhaps, negative. So just go attack them and see what turns up?...maybe 20s for us and 1s for them.

Where we are right now, it feels like we've got 2 options. Strike now and use what little element of surprise we have, or wait until dark where we have more time to stage an attack. Either way, I think it's probably most pertinent to focus fire on their leader... cut the head off, kill the beast.

Maybe if we attack right before they sit down to eat.  If they consume the star every day, then maybe it is to regain there powers.  If we stop them just before they eat, then we might catch them at their weakest.

I like that idea too. I think once we decide on our angle of attack, then we ought to have a pretty good plan.

Are y'all in favor of just a full frontal assault, or have the rogues flank them while the rest initiate from the other side?

Phineas has been pretty useless in combat so far, but his odds are improved if he's not doing a full-frontal assault. I like the flanking idea.

Ok, cool.

So the plan is to wait until the group stops to 'eat', then we move into position and attack them from 2 side?

Eru, do you just want to roll with what was discussed here or do you want something posted in the other thread?
