Re: Questions and Answers

Welcome! Stonehill Inn introduces some of the characters, as well as an important NPC, but it doesn't mention our current quest, at all.

Ha. No. This is just my 1st 5th Ed. character. I'm finishing up his sheet literally right now then I'm ready to go!

Update: I PMed the DM about my 1st post. I didn't see myself named/added/mentioned in the "Too" thread so I don't want to post prematurely. Like, which group am I in? I apologize if I missed reading something.

It depends on how the GM has you join. *shrug*  Your name just sounded a bit like "belly ache-ic" but maybe I'm pronouncing it wrong. :)

No problem.  Can I hear a woot-woot for all the rogues up in this hizzous? :)

This is what I just saw in our group story thread:
quote:
Caught off guard, Victor swings at his own shadow." <Language unknown:  Art!>" He lets out an orcish curse in frustration!

Art!  Sounds like an orcish curse to me. ;)

We all makes deals every step of life.
Just like we're too often saddled with the results of those come before.

Me?  I'm just a simple man trying to help support his family :p

And what former soldier doesn't curse a little too much? :)

Re: Questions and Answers

I'm not the GM, but I think you haven't posted an action since the bugbears acted, Ezguar.  Also, GM said, "If Ezguar is physically attacking the bugbears, specify which one."  <-- I don't think you've done that yet.

True but as a wizard I'm not about to poke a bugbears haha. I cast an abjuration spell so I didn't think I got an attack after that. If I do I'm just going to magic missle :P

Every time I load this page, that says something different. But you'd probably still laugh if you could read what he was saying.

OF course - they don't fit on team Magick! :p

Besides, I mean, you have Nixon - his charm is simply too much to ALSO have rogues in the party :)

Let's see Nixon charm his way past a poison dart trap. Oh wait, he'll be behind Victor when we trigger it, and Victor will be behind his shield ;)

Grin.

On a more serious note, while I would definitely like a trap-finder skill in the party, we're an odd but fairly solid party.

For 3 PCS, we have two pretty decent AC for frontlining, strength with Vic, face skills with Nixon, good range from you and Ero once he drops whatever curse is on him.  Nixon hasn't made word about it, but if lockpicking comes up, he has that covered, subject to the dicebot whims.  Some HP padding/healing with the elixirs.  Great arcana, and Ero's higher spells open a whole bunch of doors.

Really, our only glaring weakness is stealth and a couple skills like religion, unless ye lads are buffed up that ways :)  Pretty solid for a small core.

Re: Questions and Answers

Nope, not buffed up on stealth or religion, sorry. Especially not stealth, what with the splint mail and barely above average Dex. But if need be, Ero and I can put a whole encounter to sleep and run away as loudly as we need to!

Re: Questions and Answers

Yes and no.

It's a play-by-post game, so you have to take into account players' Real Life issues (work, family, chores, errands, school, illness, vacation), time zones, holidays, internet access and computer problems. I've had most of them in my time on RPoL. Keep in mind, too, that even outside of time zones, some people can post from work and some can't, and some players work odd shifts or long hours.

I try to get to it more frequently, but it doesn't always work that way. Plus, I have to give all players a chance to post, especially when combat occurs.

The trick to getting past slow periods is to interact with the other players.
