Re: Pub Crawling (OOC Discussions)

Oh, are we supposed to be rolling? I just used the 27 point buy.

Re: Pub Crawling (OOC Discussions)

Yes, that was one of those pesky little charagen rules I forgot to include in this game's rules.

I've since added it, since everyone was asking.

Your point buy is fine, though.

Re: Pub Crawling (OOC Discussions)

I just have a few more things to set on my sheet, mainly spells and I'll be good to go. I would say go ahead and look over it, pm me with anything you think needs addressed.

No, that's fine, I'll roll. If other people are gonna have to deal with rolling, I'll join in.

Re: Pub Crawling (OOC Discussions)

Got 16, 15, 14, 13, 10, 7. Strength mod. goes up, Wisdom mod. goes down, not too big a change. A little leery about that 7, but I'll deal.

Re: Pub Crawling (OOC Discussions)

In reply to Morgrimm the Lost (msg # 18):

Maybe play the 7 as a juxtaposition of the 16. A tragic flaw in your person that is offset by a superior quality. for example, maybe you're very charismatic (16), but don't look before you leap which is probably how you got into this whole mess of a warlock pact in the first place (wisdom 7).

Or maybe you're very intelligent (16) from studying a lot of books as a kid. But the reason you did that was 'cus you were bedridden a lot of the time and had a frail constitution. you've improved enough to get around now, but the diseases took their toll on your body before a wandering cleric could help get rid of them (constitution 7).

Just an idea.

Re: Pub Crawling (OOC Discussions)

I've actually got a pretty good explanation for it... which totally does not involve a demon constantly whispering in Morgrimm's ear, distracting him and forcing him to devote most of his concentration just to resist the demon's influence. Promise.

And just for the record, Morgrimm is Blade Pact, meaning he's gonna be a melee guy. I don't know if group B has a Fighter or anything, but Morgrimm makes a decent substitution if we don't.

Re: Pub Crawling (OOC Discussions)

I'd like my character to be more feminine and ranged in her approach. If this is achieved by cantrips or bow n arrow has yet to be seen.

Re: Pub Crawling (OOC Discussions)

My bard will provide a lot of support options for the party, and facilitate our group with utility spells like haste and teleportation circle. She will use enchantment and illusion magic to confound her enemies, and use a croswbow or cantrips to attack from a distance. She's NOT a swashbuckling type of bard, but more like a bard who uses her hotness as a weapon.

Re: Pub Crawling (OOC Discussions)

Okay, the 'teams' are final now. The last two players went the way I sort of expected, and didn't change the dynamics significantly.

Everyone can start posting in your thread.

The two threads are: Great Northern Outfitters and At the Black Scarab Pub. If you only see one of those threads, then that's the one you should post in. There are two players that can see both, which has to do with their background; they should know which one to post in.

Re: Pub Crawling (OOC Discussions)

Well I for sure am going with being a bard. I am going to be a half-elf bard to be precise. My sheet still is in the works, but I will work on it more tomorrow night when I get home from work but I really need to get to sleep. I should be able to start roleplay and such with people though enough to get by until the DM has a chance to approve things after I finish up.

Re: Pub Crawling (OOC Discussions)

Hello fellow Group M adventurers!

Tomas Turnbuckle, aspiring halfling rogue, at your service!

*bows*

Looking forward to playing with all of you. This will be my first time playing D&D 5e, as I had no involvement with the playtest, so it will be all new to me.

May our characters live long, prosperous careers full of fame and fortune!

Hmmm...

Group M doesn't have that great of a ring to it...

Hmm, maybe we need an Adventuring Company name? That's a very Faerunian thing to do after all.

When in Faerun...

Um Tomas....Maria is a human child of 9 years and counting. :) I guess being that small it is hard to tell the difference. :P

Well here's to a long campaign!

Halister is a Fighter, actually, so there are two of us with face-smashing tendencies. Which is always nice, having a partner in melee. Even if flaking isn't a thing anymore.

No worries. When I saw that we were fighter light, I brought in one. Just don't expect him to do all of the bleeding. :)
